The role

You own growth marketing end to end. You will be in the tools: building the pages, writing the ads, wiring up the automation, reading the numbers and deciding what to try next. When something is broken, you get to rebuild it rather than write a proposal about rebuilding it. That freedom is the best thing about this role.

The shape of the job is a loop. We show you what is working today and what we think we know, then get out of your way. You test ten things. You come back and tell us which two stuck and what you want to do next. The people who thrive here are the ones who bring us surprises.

You will work alongside sales rather than upstream of them. In our market, deals are won by a person in a conversation, and the best thing marketing can do is give that person a better conversation to walk into. Our sales team is good at what they do, generous with what they know, and quick to tell you what is landing.

What you'll do

• Run experiments rather than campaigns. Form a hypothesis, ship it small, measure it, then kill it or scale it. We would rather see ten tests and two clear winners than one immaculate launch.
• Rebuild the funnel. Website, landing pages, forms and every conversion path between first click and a booked meeting. You will have the keys, the mandate and people who want you to use them.
• Own the channels. Paid search and paid social, SEO and content, email and lifecycle. You decide the mix and you move the budget when the data tells you to.
• Improve the handover to sales. Lead scoring, routing, follow-up and the unglamorous plumbing where most pipeline quietly leaks. Fixing it is one of the more satisfying wins available here.
• Own the stack. CRM, marketing automation, tracking, attribution and reporting. If we cannot measure something that matters, you get to fix that too.
• Get to know the customer properly. Talk to contractors, sit in on sales calls, read the lost-deal notes. The best growth ideas here come out of language our customers already use, and getting out to site is one of the better parts of the job.

What you'll bring

• Four or more years in growth or demand generation for a B2B software business
• Evidence you have built something rather than inherited it. A function, a funnel or a channel that did not exist before you turned up. We love hearing about these.
• A testing habit you can describe out loud. We will ask you to walk us through experiments you have run: what you expected, what actually happened, and what you did next.
• A real working relationship with a sales team. You know what an BDR's day looks like and how to best work together.
• Hands on the tools. You build the page, write the email and set up the automation yourself, and you like that part of the work.

Bonus points

None of these are required, and nobody has all four. Each one would make your first six months a little easier.

• You have marketed to construction, trades, mining, field services or another industry where the customer works outside of tech.
• You have carried a sales number yourself at some point, even briefly.
• You have been the first or second marketing hire somewhere.
• You are already using AI to get more experiments out the door per week than you could last year.
