OVERVIEW

Masterworks is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and strategic Account Strategist II to support and manage key aspects of client engagements. This role is designed for a developing agency professional with experience in integrated marketing, client service, and fundraising strategy who is ready to take greater ownership of client relationships, campaign execution, and strategic recommendations.

The Account Strategist II will play a critical role in managing client campaigns, advancing fundraising strategies, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. This individual will independently manage day-to-day account responsibilities, collaborate cross-functionally, and serve as a trusted partner to clients and internal teams. This role requires travel to clients and key events up to 20% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Service & Account Strategy

Own day-to-day client service responsibilities for assigned accounts, ensuring seamless and proactive delivery.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication, strategic thinking, effective troubleshooting, and a sincere commitment to organizational goals.
Prepare and lead client-facing materials, including presentations, status reports, campaign updates, and strategic recommendations.
Lead portions of client meetings, communicate key takeaways, and ensure timely follow-up on action items.
Serve as a key point of contact between clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
Anticipate client needs and proactively identify opportunities, challenges, and solutions.
Manage and resolve client issues professionally, escalating appropriately when needed.
Translate client goals and organizational priorities into actionable campaign and fundraising strategies.
Contribute to annual planning, account strategy, campaign planning, and recommendations that support client objectives.

Campaign Execution

Develop an integrated marketing and fundraising campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, email, direct response, and other emerging channels.
Own assigned campaign initiatives from strategy through execution, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders remain aligned.
Collaborate with internal teams, including strategy, creative, production, and analytics, to advance campaign deliverables and achieve client objectives.
Review campaign materials and deliverables for strategic alignment, accuracy, and quality prior to client delivery.
Identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness, processes, and team collaboration.
Maintain quality assurance processes and ensure consistency across campaign outputs.
Support the development and implementation of testing strategies and optimization recommendations.

Data & Performance

Compile and organize campaign performance data to support strategic decision-making.
Develop and present reporting materials, performance summaries, and strategic insights.
Maintain awareness of campaign performance to identify trends, opportunities, and variances (in partnership with the Analyst, who leads detailed monitoring).
Translate performance data into actionable recommendations for clients and internal teams.
Partner with analytics teams to identify opportunities for donor growth, retention, engagement, and increased fundraising performance.
Conduct market, audience, competitive, and industry research to inform campaign and account strategy.
Develop a growing understanding of client financial and performance goals and how campaign activity contributes to overall fundraising outcomes.

Team Leadership & Professional Development

Serve as a resource and informal mentor to Account Strategist I and other junior team members.
Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and sound judgment in managing assigned responsibilities.
Actively contribute ideas and perspectives during strategy, creative, and account team discussions.
Seek and provide constructive feedback that strengthens individual and team performance.
Continue developing expertise in fundraising, integrated marketing, client service, analytics, and agency operations.
Demonstrate increasing independence in managing projects, solving problems, and making recommendations.
Develop a deeper understanding of Masterworks clients, their missions, audiences, and fundraising environments.

REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a confident, professional, and client-ready presence.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to anticipate needs, identify opportunities, and proactively move work forward.
Working knowledge of integrated marketing channels and campaign execution.
Demonstrated understanding of fundraising principles, donor engagement, and campaign strategy preferred.
Ability to analyze performance data and translate findings into clear insights and recommendations.
Strong presentation and client communication skills.
Proficiency in Google Docs, including Google Sheets.
Working knowledge of project management, reporting, and AI tools.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
3–5 years of relevant experience in marketing, fundraising, client service, account management, or a related field.
