Metal Toad is a fully remote company, offering all team members the ability to work from home. Although Metal Toad is a remote company, we are currently seeking contractors residing in Brazil for this position. Compensation will be made in Brazilian Reais (R$), following the local currency of the country where the position is located. Due to legal limitations, we are unable to sponsor any type of visa.

Job Description

The Director of Marketing will own and lead Metal Toad's global marketing strategy and execution across the United States and Brazil. This role is responsible for developing and executing an integrated marketing strategy, brand position, website, social media, email, events, content, demand generation, lead nurturing, and marketing communications.

The Director of Marketing will work closely with the leadership team, Sales, Demand Generation, and Design teams to strengthen Metal Toad's brand, generate qualified demand, support sales, and communicate the value of our technology and professional services. The ideal candidate is a strategic marketing leader who can operate at both the strategic and executional levels in a fast-moving professional services environment.

Responsibilities

MARKETING STRATEGY & LEADERSHIP

• Own and continuously evolve Metal Toad's global marketing strategy, priorities, positioning, and go-to-market approach across the United States and Brazil.
• Translate business goals into measurable marketing plans, campaigns, programs, and priorities across short- and long-term horizons.
• Lead integrated marketing programs across website, social media, email, content, events, demand generation, lead nurturing, PR, and other relevant channels.
• Define marketing KPIs, monitor performance, and provide regular reporting on campaign, funnel, engagement, brand, and pipeline metrics.
• Manage marketing priorities, budgets, external vendors, and resources as needed.
• Build scalable and repeatable integrated marketing campaigns.
• Ensure overall campaign quality, consistency, and effectiveness.

BRAND & MESSAGING

• Own and continuously evolve Metal Toad's brand voice, messaging, positioning, and brand consistency across internal and external communications.
• Translate complex technical, business, and client concepts into clear, compelling messaging for target audiences.
• Ensure consistency in Metal Toad's messaging and brand experience across marketing channels and materials.
• Develop compelling messaging and content that strengthens Metal Toad's position as an innovative technology and professional services firm.

EVENTS

• Plan, manage, and evaluate events, conferences, executive engagements, sponsorships, and other field-marketing initiatives.
• Develop event strategies aligned with brand awareness, relationship building, demand generation, and business development goals.
• Manage and evaluate marketing spend related to conferences, events, and sponsorships.
• Represent Metal Toad as a brand ambassador at relevant networking, industry, client, and executive events.

WEBSITE

• Lead website strategy and ongoing optimization, including content, conversion opportunities, SEO, user experience, and alignment with business and campaign goals.
• Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve website visibility, organic search performance, and qualified traffic.
• Optimize website content, blog posts, case studies, and other digital assets for search engines while maintaining a strong brand voice and engaging user experience.
• Monitor SEO performance and identify opportunities for content optimization, keyword targeting, and organic growth.

EMAIL

• Develop demand-generation programs that build awareness, attract target accounts and buyers, and generate qualified opportunities.
• Develop and manage email marketing and lead-nurturing programs that support pipeline generation and sales conversion.
• Develop and optimize marketing-to-sales funnels and programs that support the buyer journey.
• Partner with Sales and Strategy to develop campaigns, sales enablement materials, buyer-focused messaging, and marketing-to-sales funnels.
• Identify opportunities to improve conversion and progression from marketing engagement to qualified opportunities.

SOCIAL MEDIA

• Lead social media strategy and content distribution across relevant channels, with a focus on platforms that align with Metal Toad's target audiences.
• Develop and execute social media campaigns that increase brand awareness, engagement, and qualified traffic.
• Monitor social media performance and identify opportunities for growth.

MARKET & INDUSTRY INSIGHTS

• Stay current on marketing, technology, AI, cloud, and professional services trends and identify opportunities for Metal Toad.
• Identify relevant industry developments, customer needs, market trends, and competitive opportunities that can inform Metal Toad's marketing strategy.
• Identify communications and topics that are relevant to Metal Toad's target industries and audiences.

CONTENT & THOUGHT LEADERSHIP

• Develop and manage a content strategy that includes thought leadership, blog posts, case studies, client success stories, presentations, sales collateral, campaign assets, and other buyer-focused content.
• Identify and promote relevant client projects, success stories, industry insights, and technology trends across appropriate marketing channels.
• Distill the essence of client projects into compelling written content.
• Maintain a consistent content calendar and integrated marketing program plan.
• Identify and pursue high-value PR, media, speaking, interview, and thought-leadership opportunities that strengthen Metal Toad's brand and market position.
• Promote relevant content created by Metal Toad team members.

COLLABORATION

• Collaborate with Sales, Strategy, Leadership, Talent Acquisition, Design, and other internal stakeholders to ensure marketing programs support company priorities.
• Gather feedback from internal stakeholders and clients to continuously improve marketing effectiveness and brand experience.
• Develop a strong understanding of Metal Toad's clients, target audiences, industries, and buyer needs.
• Build strong relationships across the organization and serve as a strategic marketing partner to leadership and other teams.

EXPERTISE

• Write compelling content for decks, presentations, case studies, and pre-production deliverables to help win clients and further Metal Toad as an innovative technology firm.
• Collaborate with other Strategy team members to create amazing sales material and discovery documentation.
• Write copy for internal website collateral.
• Collaborate with Designer on written copy for internal print collateral (business cards, office signs, etc.).
• Present written content to internally and externally and synthesize feedback into next steps.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Current or previous experience working at an agency or professional services organization.
• Located in the Greater São Paulo Area.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• 10+ years of professional experience developing and implementing marketing program strategies, preferably in the high technology sector.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing strategy.
• Strategic thinking combined with strong hands-on execution capabilities.
• Experience leading integrated marketing initiatives across multiple channels.
• Strong understanding of demand generation, lead nurturing, content, digital marketing, and marketing-to-sales funnels.
• Ability to work effectively with senior leadership, Sales, Strategy, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fully remote environment.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience leading and contributing to a wide variety of projects from concept through completion.
• Proven and demonstrated experience in executing cutting-edge, integrated campaigns via multiple channels.
• Deep understanding of the principles, strategies and techniques used for demand generation and awareness campaigns, including creation, execution and deployment
• Experience in the technology industry.
• AWS experience or familiarity with AWS services/ecosystem.
• Experience with technology consulting or professional services.
• Strong branding experience.
• Experience marketing AI, cloud, software, or other technology solutions.
• Experience working across US and Brazilian markets.
• Experience with B2B marketing.
