Pearl Jade is looking for an experienced, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to help drive continued growth and build meaningful partnerships with prospective clients. As our Business Development Manager, you’ll own warm and inbound opportunities from initial engagement through close while also proactively developing new business through networking, industry engagement, and relationship building. You’ll work directly with business owners and executives, helping them understand how Pearl Jade’s branding, website, digital marketing, and ongoing marketing services can support their goals.

What You’ll Do
- Own warm and inbound leads throughout the full business development cycle, including discovery, recommendations, proposals, follow-up, and close.
- Lead consultative conversations to understand prospective clients’ business objectives, challenges, and marketing needs.
- Recommend appropriate branding, website, digital marketing, and ongoing marketing solutions based on each client’s needs.
- Build trusted relationships with prospective clients through thoughtful, consistent, and proactive communication.
- Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline activity, including opportunities, stages, next steps, follow-up activity, and forecasting.
- Partner with internal team members to communicate client needs, support proposal development, and ensure a smooth transition of signed clients to the delivery team.
- Conduct strategic account reviews and identify opportunities to provide additional support and value to existing clients.
- Represent Pearl Jade through virtual and in-person networking, client meetings, relationship-building activities, industry events, and occasional conferences.
- Stay current on evolving trends across branding, websites, Google Ads, social media, digital marketing, AI, and related areas.
- Confidently lead business development conversations with business owners and executives, including discussions around meaningful marketing investments.
- Identify and evaluate relevant RFPs and other potential business development opportunities.
- Take ownership of key business development metrics, including pipeline activity, opportunities created, follow-up consistency, close rate, and revenue goals.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant business development, sales, or client development experience, preferably within marketing, branding, digital, creative, or another professional services environment.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing opportunities through the full sales cycle, from discovery and relationship development through proposals, follow-up, and close.
- Working knowledge of branding, website development, Google Ads, social media, digital marketing, and ongoing marketing services.
- Strong consultative selling, discovery, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence communicating with business owners and executives and discussing meaningful business and marketing investments.
- Experience managing CRM and sales pipeline activity, including opportunity stages, next steps, follow-up, and forecasting.
- A proactive, resourceful, and self-directed approach with the initiative and persistence to identify opportunities and move them forward.
- Strong organization, time management, accountability, and follow-through in a remote environment.
- Ability and willingness to participate in occasional in-person client meetings, networking activities, conferences, and team gatherings.
