Working Student - Controlling (all genders)
About this role
JustPlay is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Working Student in Controlling (all genders) to support our growing Finance team in Berlin. You'll work closely with our Senior Controller and FP&A team on reporting, budgeting and cost analysis, with real responsibility and direct insight into how a scale-up with an international shareholder is steered by numbers.
Job Responsibilities
Support monthly reporting and month-end tasks by preparing data, updating reports, checking figures and collecting accrual inputs with Accounting
Help maintain the budget and forecast, including updating actuals and preparing actual-vs-budget overviews for cost-center owners
Track and analyze key cost blocks such as SaaS, cloud, consulting and payment fees, and flag unusual developments
Reconcile KPI data from our BI tool (Metabase) against invoices and the ledger, and help clean up inconsistencies
Prepare analyses, charts and slides for business reviews, and help improve and automate recurring finance processes
Job Requirements
Currently enrolled student in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar field
First practical experience in controlling, accounting, audit or finance, plus a basic understanding of P&L, balance sheet and accruals
Good Excel/Google Sheets skills; first experience with BI tools or SQL is a plus
A structured, accurate working style and a genuine interest in numbers and business models
Fluent English (written and verbal); German is a plus.
