The Workday Student Financial Systems Specialist configures, develops, and supports Workday functionality and integrations for Student Financials, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and related student financial processes. The position helps ensure reliable, secure, and well-configured systems supporting students and University operations.

Working under the direction of the Manager of Enterprise Applications and Development, the Specialist works independently and collaboratively with University stakeholders and Information Technology teams to configure Workday functionality, develop and maintain integrations, troubleshoot issues, and support business processes and release testing.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Orchestrate, Core Connectors, SOAP/REST, and related integration technologies.
Configure, support, and enhance Workday functionality, business processes, and related rules for Student Financials, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and related student financial processes.
Support and maintain existing Student Financial integrations, including error resolution and release testing.
Partner with Student Financials, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and other University stakeholders to translate functional needs into Workday configurations, business processes, and technical solutions.
Use database technologies, including SQL, to support integration development, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
Monitor and troubleshoot Workday configuration, business process, and integration issues, coordinating resolution with technical teams, functional stakeholders, and vendors as appropriate.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for Workday configurations, business processes, integrations, data exchanges, and support procedures.
Apply information security practices to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the University's information.
Communicate with management, team members, and stakeholders regarding key issues, changes, and integration support needs.
Research Workday functionality, releases, and emerging technologies relevant to assigned responsibilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a computing discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience as an integration developer.
Experience with Workday configuration, business processes, and integrations, including Studio, EIB, Orchestrate, and Core Connectors.
Experience supporting Workday Student, Student Financials, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, or comparable higher education systems.
Experience developing API-based integrations and solutions.
Broad-based knowledge of software engineering, enterprise application configuration, integration architecture, and the software development life cycle.
Understanding of information security principles and secure data exchange practices.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

Workday Pro certification in Integrations, Student, Financial Aid, or another relevant area.
Experience with Title IV federal financial aid regulations and Department of Education reporting requirements (e.g., FISAP, NSLDS, COD).
