This is a remote, backend bookkeeping position supporting our Client Relationship Manager. You will not have direct contact with clients — your job is to execute the bookkeeping work accurately, quietly, and on time so our team can deliver a seamless experience on the client-facing side.

You will manage end-of-month reconciliations across approximately 30 small business and nonprofit client accounts. Work is assigned by our Client Relationship Manager, who will be your primary point of contact for priorities, questions, and feedback.

This role may be part-time or full-time — we are open to the right fit and will discuss arrangements with the right candidate.

What You Will Do

• Perform end-of-month bank reconciliations across a portfolio of small business and nonprofit clients

• Categorize and organize transactions accurately within QuickBooks Online

• Ensure client books are clean, consistent, and completed on time every month

• Flag discrepancies or unusual items to the Client Relationship Manager for review

• Follow established processes and SOPs for each client account

• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality across all client files at all times

What We Are Looking For

Required:

• Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with U.S.-based clients

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online — this is non-negotiable

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets

• Familiarity with Xero is a plus

• Strong written and spoken English — you will communicate regularly with our team

• High attention to detail and an uncompromising commitment to accuracy

• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, professional remote work setup

• Ability to work during U.S. Central Standard Time hours or with meaningful overlap

• Self-directed — you manage your workload, you meet your deadlines, you ask when you are unsure

Nice to have:

• Experience with nonprofit accounting

• Prior experience working remotely with U.S.-based accounting firms

• Familiarity with bookkeeping across multiple industries
