Video Editor & Graphic Designer

Role overview

The Video Editor & Graphic Designer turns raw footage into publish-ready video for BikesOnline US, so our marketing team can drive more customers to our website and our showroom, while relying less on rising paid-click costs. Supporting the ongoing range of bikes for the US market, as well as products for the Australian market.

The role is primarily responsible for editing long-form and short-form video from footage filmed by our team and content creators, while offering additional support to the Graphic Design team with campaign graphics. Most work is for the US business, with some editing for Australia. You'll work from briefs, deliver on deadline, and you'll know bikes well enough to make the content credible to riders.

Key responsibilities

Video editing (about 80%)

• Edit raw footage into finished long-form and short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and the BikesOnline website.
• Cut multiple short-form edits from each long-form shoot to get the most content from every piece of footage.
• Edit content from the US showroom, demo days, product launches and and content edits for the Australian business.
• Add captions, titles, graphics overlays and licensed music suited to each platform.
• Edit to brief from the US marketing team, and submit work for review and approval before it is published.
• Make revisions from feedback quickly and accurately.
• Apply brand standards and channel-specific formats, aspect ratios and lengths.
• Bring ideas for hooks, pacing and formats that lift engagement, based on current platform trends.
• Support A/B testing by supplying alternative cuts, thumbnails and openings.

Graphic design (about 20%)

• Design promotional and product launch email campaigns, including emails for Reid.
• Create home page banners and ad variations for monthly promotions.
• Duplicate, adjust and resize designs for social media and advertising platforms.
• Retouch and edit product and lifestyle images.
• Supply design variations for A/B tests.
• Follow BikesOnline brand guidelines and our purpose of “Ride More, For Less”.

Ways of working (Remote Contractor)

• Work is supplied as individual jobs, each with a brief, deliverables and a due date.
• You organize your own time to meet agreed deadlines, using your own equipment, editing software and music-licensing subscriptions.
• Join online briefings when a job needs one.
• Store files and assets using our folder structure and naming conventions.
• Use AI tools where they speed up editing or design without lowering quality.

Skills & Experience

Qualifications

• Qualifications in video production, graphic design, digital media or a related field (preferred).

Experience

• 3+ years editing video for social media and digital marketing.
• Experience creating graphics for digital ads, email marketing and website content.
• A portfolio showing both short-form and long-form video work.
• Experience in cycling, outdoor or ecommerce brands (advantageous).

Skills

• Highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut, with caption creation experience.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Access to licensed music libraries for commercial video use.
• A rider with solid knowledge of bikes, e-bikes and cycling culture.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Sound knowledge of layout, typography and platform-specific video formats.
• High attention to detail, with consistent output at volume.
• Reliable delivery to deadlines, including during busy campaign periods.
