Utility Billing Specialist
About this role
Responsibilities:
Manage an assigned portfolio of multifamily housing properties
Complete monthly resident utility billing activities in accordance with department procedures and KPIs
Communicate directly with clients regarding billing requirements, approvals, and billing-related questions through email and phone.
Respond to resident inquiries regarding utility charges and billing activity through email and phone
Coordinate with internal teams to gather information and resolve billing issues
Review billing information for accuracy and identify discrepancies requiring escalation
Essential Functions
Review billing information and documentation for accuracy and completeness
Maintain assigned portfolio deadlines and performance expectations
Resolve routine billing issues and escalate complex concerns as appropriate
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively by meeting deadlines and managing workload efficiently
Maintain professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
Education and Experience Requirements
1–2 years of experience in a customer service role
Experience working in a deadline-driven environment
Experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications / Google Suite
