Position Summary...

Walmart Connect is seeking a Senior Director, Emerging Sales to Lead commercial strategy, revenue growth, and the operating model for a rapidly scaling SMB advertiser business serving primarily small- and mid-sized Marketplace sellers.

This leader owns growth outcomes for a sizable, fast-growing business and leads a multi-layered organization of senior sales leaders, Senior Managers, and Demand Generation.
This is a builder-operator role: create a scalable customer model across acquisition, activation,
retention, Search adoption, and productivity while delivering measurable commercial results.

The successful candidate will guide teams in sales qualification, negotiation, and proposal development while fostering strong stakeholder relationships. This leadership position demands a focus on delivering measurable business value, advancing innovative sales approaches, and supporting organizational goals through effective planning, execution, and team development.

About the team:
Leadership includes two Directors, four senior managers, along with one Senior Manager.

This group drives strategic sales planning, forecasting, and negotiation efforts while fostering strong business acumen and inside sales management. The team collaborates to develop and execute sales proposals and initiatives that align with company objectives and deliver measurable business value.

What you'll do...

• Own revenue growth and commercial performance, translating strategy into clear priorities, forecasts,

operating rhythms, and accountability.

• Build and scale high-volume sales and account-management motions across advertiser acquisition,
  activation, retention, and growth.
  • Rethink traditional sales motions through segmentation, technology, automation, and AI-enabled ways
  of working that improve productivity and advertiser outcomes.
  • Lead, coach, and develop senior sales leaders, Senior Managers, frontline managers, and early-career
  talent; build a strong leadership bench and performance culture.
  • Partner across Growth Marketing, Product, Analytics, Marketplace, Sales Operations, and Marketing to
  strengthen demand generation, lifecycle growth, advertiser experience, and product adoption.
  • Simplify complex problems and build repeatable, scalable solutions rather than one-off exceptions.
  
  What you'll bring
  • 12+ years of relevant commercial, sales, account-management, customer-growth, or business
  leadership experience, including 5+ years leading teams. Exceptional candidates with a comparable
  record of impact will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ownership of revenue, quota, P&L, or comparable commercial outcomes, with a record
  of delivering sustained growth in a complex business.
  • Proven success leading and developing senior sales or commercial leaders, with the ability to build
  high-performing, multi-layered organizations at scale.
  • Experience building or materially redesigning a high-volume customer, sales, or growth business;
  strong builder mindset and comfort creating clarity in ambiguity.
  • Strong commercial instincts across segmentation, customer lifecycle, retention, expansion, and
  growth, paired with the ability to turn data into action.
  • Product and data fluency, including sound judgment on when a customer problem requires a product,
  process, tooling, or people solution.
  • SMB, mid-market, marketplace, retail media, ad-tech, or comparable high-volume customer-business experience preferred
