Roles and Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Management
- Maintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping records using Xero
- Record and reconcile income, expenses, bank accounts, and payment providers
- Process supplier invoices and payments
- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue payments
- Prepare financial records and supporting documents for the external accountant
- Assist with VAT reporting and ensure financial records remain accurate and up to date
Property & Multi-Entity Finance
- Monitor rental income and property-related expenses
- Track expected rental payments and identify overdue accounts
- Maintain income and expenditure schedules for rental properties
- Support bookkeeping across multiple business entities
- Reconcile accounts and highlight discrepancies or unusual transactions
Financial Reporting
- Prepare weekly and bi-weekly financial reports
- Produce cash flow summaries, income and expenditure reports, and bank reconciliation reports
- Monitor outstanding debtors and provide financial insights
- Identify discrepancies, missing income, and unreconciled transactions
- Recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls and reporting accuracy
Administrative & Practice Support
- Assist with general administrative tasks during periods of increased workload
- Manage incoming emails and support patient enquiries when required
- Coordinate appointments and maintain accurate digital records
- Prepare routine correspondence and upload documentation into practice systems
- Liaise with hospitals, consultants, and external stakeholders
- Support the Medical Secretary and administrative team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3–4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Advanced experience using Xero
- Strong experience performing bank reconciliations and financial reporting
- Experience managing accounts across multiple business entities
- Experience supporting UK-based businesses or UK bookkeeping is highly preferred

Proficient With:
- Xero
- Microsoft Excel
- Google Sheets
- Google Workspace
- Cloud-based bookkeeping and document management systems
Experience Advantage:
- UK bookkeeping experience
- Advanced Xero proficiency or Xero Certification
- Multi-entity accounting experience
- Experience in healthcare, medical, or professional services
- Property accounting or rental property management
- Experience supporting UK-based businesses remotely
