Davies North America is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Claims Examiner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing GAP insurance claims with precision and professionalism. You will work closely with customers, agents, underwriters, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claim resolution.

Davies North America is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Claims Examiner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing GAP insurance claims with precision and professionalism. You will work closely with customers, agents, underwriters, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claim resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize various software platforms including AS400, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe PDF, ISO, CARFAX, Winloan, and Claimtrak to perform daily tasks.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with customers and all parties involved in the claims process.
- Gather and prepare all necessary documentation to support claim resolution.
- Analyze loan transaction histories to verify payments, fees, and insurance details.
- Review waivers to determine coverage eligibility, calculate claim amounts, and submit for final review.
- Document all correspondence and claim-related information in AS400.
- Monitor and follow up on pending claims using the GAP pending claims (AWP) list.
- Apply strong decision-making and organizational skills to manage multiple claims efficiently.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and clearly explain complex insurance policy terms.
- Use auto valuation tools such as CCCOne, Mitchell, Autosource, and Kelley Blue Book to assess vehicle values.
- Meet departmental quality standards and achieve service level and production goals.
Skills, knowledge & expertise
Requirements- 3 + Years auto adjusting
- Proficiency in required software tools and auto valuation programs.
- Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Proven customer service experience, especially in explaining technical or policy-related information.
- Experience with GAP and Collateral Protection insurance
- Multiple state adjusting licenses
- Proactive, independent, dependable, and takes initiative with consistent follow through
- Superb written and verbal communication skills conducted in a timely manner with diverse audiences
- Superior time management skills with capability of working with and meeting deadlines
- Exceptional capability to multi-task and prioritize with excellent organization and documentation skills in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Excellent team player with interpersonal skills
- High level attention to detail with ability to utilize decision making and problem-solving skills
- Capable of working collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision
- Exhibit discretion with sensitive and confidential information
- Display a comfort level working with key people at all levels within an organization
- Understands policies and strong reading, writing skills
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills
