💭 Idea-to-Video Translator– Able to turn abstract ideas into visually compelling videos.

⚡ High-Volume, Fast Turnaround– Comfortable producing roughly 5–8 finished short-form videos per day (once raw footage is organized) without sacrificing quality.

Responsibilities of the Social Media Video Editor:

Your responsibilities include:

🎬 Short-Form Video Editing & Production

Edit high-quality short-form video content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok with shock value, highly engaging visuals, and professional-grade output that gets a solid message across
Produce high-volume video content consistently—keeping pace with a fast-moving posting schedule without sacrificing quality
Turn around a typical short-form video (a few cuts, subtitles, and a thumbnail) in roughly 45 minutes to 1.5 hours once footage is organized
Add captions, transitions, overlays, sound effects, and branded elements to boost engagement
Repurpose long-form and influencer/UGC footage into short, viral-ready clips tailored to each platform
Stay on top of current video trends, formats, and editing styles, and apply them quickly to new content

🖼 Thumbnails & Video Packaging

Create simple, click-worthy thumbnails and cover frames that drive views and stand out in the feed
Add basic text animations and motion effects to make videos pop
Support the design team with quick visuals when needed (graphic design is a bonus, not the core of this role)

💡 Creative Direction & Influencer Research

Brainstorm and develop unique concepts, storytelling approaches, and innovative editing techniques that make content stand out
Collaborate with the creative team to align videos with campaign goals and audience preferences
Participate in social media brainstorming sessions to pitch and refine video ideas
Find high-impact Instagram pages and influencers in cities where the firm handles cases—such as Philly, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Texas
Flag potential partnerships or viral opportunities and maintain a shared list of influencer leads and content sources

📂 Project Organization & Asset Management

Keep all produced content organized, maintaining video, audio, and project files in Google Drive for easy access across teams
Tag and categorize content to keep workflows efficient
Prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate progress effectively
Align with the team's weekly production schedule and posting cadence

🤖 AI & Emerging Tech (Preferred)

Use ChatGPT to generate hooks, captions, and creative prompts
Experiment with AI tools like Google Veo 3 for advanced video and visual production
