About the Role

The Social Media Specialist, TikTok leads the firm’s TikTok strategy and day-to-day execution to grow audience engagement, followership, and brand visibility. This role develops and manages platform-specific content plans, identifies and activates relevant trends, oversees the content calendar and publishing process, and ensures content is accurate, on-brand, and optimized for TikTok. Working closely with content editors and copywriters, the Specialist serves as the firm’s TikTok subject-matter expert, using platform knowledge, performance insights, and emerging trends to continuously improve content strategy and results.

Your Key Contributions

• Lead and continuously evolve the firm’s TikTok strategy to increase followers, engagement, referrals, and brand visibility, translating strategic goals into actionable content plans and measurable performance targets.
• Develop and manage the TikTok content calendar, balancing planned content with timely opportunities related to trending audio, hashtags, cultural moments, algorithm changes, and emerging platform features.
• Manage the end-to-end publishing process for TikTok content, including scheduling, posting cadence, timing, quality assurance, accuracy, brand alignment, and adherence to platform best practices.
• Partner with content editors and copywriters to develop and refine TikTok content, providing clear creative direction and making light edits such as trims, captions, text overlays, and timing adjustments as needed.
• Monitor TikTok trends, algorithm behavior, platform developments, and emerging content opportunities, proactively recommending adjustments that improve reach, engagement, and overall content performance.
• Analyze and report on TikTok performance, partnering with the Analytics team to evaluate growth, engagement, referrals, and content effectiveness and using insights to continuously optimize strategy and execution.
• Monitor TikTok comments and community sentiment, partnering with the Social Communications team to identify trends, surface opportunities, and appropriately escalate concerns.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 1-3 years of experience running or significantly contributing to a brand’s TikTok presence, with a demonstrated track record of growing followers and engagement.
• Experience developing content calendars and translating strategy into actionable, goal-oriented content plans.
• Experience scheduling and publishing content using native or third-party social scheduling tools.
• Deep familiarity with TikTok algorithm behavior, posting cadence, trend cycles, and native platform features.
• Action Oriented: Proactively identifies TikTok trends, platform changes, and content opportunities and quickly translates them into timely actions that improve audience growth, engagement, referrals, and brand visibility.
• Collaborates: Partners effectively with content editors, copywriters, Analytics, and Social Communications to develop and optimize content, evaluate performance, monitor audience sentiment, and ensure alignment with broader marketing objectives.
• Resourcefulness: Leverages TikTok expertise, emerging trends, performance data, platform tools, and cross-functional resources to identify creative opportunities, solve content challenges, and continuously improve strategy and execution.
• Instills Trust: Demonstrates reliability and sound judgment by ensuring TikTok content is accurate, on-brand, timely, and aligned with platform best practices while appropriately identifying and escalating community concerns.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing performance data and analytics and translating findings into concrete adjustments based on strategy and content needs.
• Familiarity with basic video editing tools needed for quick edits.
• Advanced production experience is preferred.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST).
