Senior Technology Manager

Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for our Senior Technology Manager position. This position serves as the senior technical authority across engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise modernization workstreams supporting the customer. Leads the institutionalization of DevSecOps practices across the program, including CI/CD pipeline integration, automation, container development, and threat modeling. Provides technical administration, integration, architecture, and engineering guidance for enterprise computing, hardware/software, network, cloud, and security environments. Translates business requirements into enterprise technology requirements and designs, evaluates modernization alternatives, and oversees requirements analysis, business case development, integration, testing, and production security compliance. Serves as the primary technical interface to the customer Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for architecture, engineering, and modernization matters.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Serve as the senior technical authority across engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and enterprise modernization workstreams.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for complex enterprise IT modernization initiatives supporting customer mission requirements.
• Lead the institutionalization of DevSecOps practices across the program, including CI/CD pipeline integration, automation, container development, security integration, and threat modeling.
• Provide overall technical administration, integration, and guidance for information systems, hardware/software, network systems, and enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Translate business and mission requirements into enterprise computing requirements, technical architectures, designs, and supporting reports.
• Conduct in-depth engineering analysis and evaluate enterprise service alternatives in support of strategic modernization initiatives.
• Lead requirements analysis, business case development, solution architecture, integration, testing, and technical validation for enterprise engineering services.
• Ensure applications and technology solutions entering production conform to customer system security requirements and applicable federal security standards.
• Provide technical leadership for VDI, MDM, cloud, endpoint, infrastructure, and other enterprise technology initiatives.
• Lead architecture and engineering integration across infrastructure, application development, cybersecurity, cloud, network, and operations teams.
• Partner with technical teams to identify opportunities for automation, standardization, resiliency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Provide architecture-level guidance for AWS GovCloud and other cloud environments supporting enterprise modernization.
• Drive containerization and modern application delivery practices, including Kubernetes and secure CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Ensure security is incorporated throughout the system development lifecycle and enterprise architecture, supporting security-by-design and DevSecOps objectives.
• Serve as the primary technical interface to the customer Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) on architecture, engineering, technology strategy, and modernization matters.
• Lead technical reviews, architecture discussions, engineering assessments, and modernization planning sessions with federal stakeholders and program leadership.
• Provide technical input to Agile planning and roadmap development and partner with the Program Manager on program-level technology strategy.
• Own and/or provide technical leadership for major program deliverables, including Enterprise Computing Requirements/Designs, Technical Feasibility Documentation, Software Development Plan, and Agile Roadmap.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and enterprise service alternatives and provide recommendations based on mission requirements, technical feasibility, security, scalability, and integration considerations.
• Ensure technical solutions align with federal requirements, enterprise architecture principles, security policies, and customer modernization objectives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance
• U.S. Citizenship.
• 12+ years of experience in IT engineering, enterprise architecture, systems engineering, infrastructure, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience leading enterprise IT modernization initiatives on federal contracts.
• TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) certification.
• SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise architecture, engineering integration, and technical modernization across complex IT environments.
• Strong experience implementing or institutionalizing DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, containerization, and security integration.
• Experience translating business and mission requirements into enterprise technical requirements, architectures, designs, and implementation strategies.
• Experience conducting technical feasibility analysis and evaluating enterprise technology alternatives.
• Experience leading requirements analysis, business case development, solution integration, testing, and technical validation.
• Experience integrating security requirements into enterprise architecture and application development processes.
• Experience providing technical leadership across infrastructure, networking, cloud, application, and cybersecurity workstreams.
• Experience with enterprise cloud architecture, including AWS environments and cloud modernization.
• Strong communication and technical leadership skills, with demonstrated experience interfacing with senior federal stakeholders. .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
• CISSP certification.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
• TS/SCI security clearance.
• Experience supporting DEA, DOJ, or other federal law enforcement mission environments.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud and/or Azure Government environments.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience developing and implementing enterprise Agile/SAFe transformation roadmaps.
• Experience leading security-by-design, Zero Trust, and DevSecOps initiatives within federal environments.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
