New Meridian Corporation, located in Austin, TX seeks outstanding candidates for the role of Senior Project Manager. This position, reporting to the Director of Program Management, will assume overall responsibility for providing project management support to deliver contractual obligations for key strategic internal projects at New Meridian.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Project Managerto oversee certain aspects of complex projects in the K–12 education assessment space. In this role, you will be accountable for leading end-to-end project delivery—from planning through execution—ensuring all milestones are achieved on time, within scope, and at the highest quality. You will collaborate closely with state education agencies, vendors, and internal teams to align goals, manage expectations, and navigate the intricacies of large-scale assessment programs. This role requires a deep knowledge of the assessment process, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

EXPECTED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee project timelines and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure milestones and deliverables are met on time and to the highest quality standards.
• Lead the planning, development, and implementation of processes, schedules, and deliverables for education assessment programs, ensuring alignment with client expectations and contractual requirements.
• Develop and execute comprehensive risk management plans to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
• Design and manage communication strategies to keep internal teams and external stakeholders informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the Director of Program Management to prepare for key meetings, including developing agendas, capturing action items, and ensuring timely follow-up.
• Ensure adherence to secure delivery protocols and compliance standards related to online assessment systems.

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3+ years’ experience in managing education related projects is required.
• Proven experience working on large-scale assessment programs for state or district-level clients is strongly preferred.
• Experience with secure, online delivery platforms and familiarity with data privacy standards in K–12 education is preferred.
• Proficiency in Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Project, Excel, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills in deadline-driven environments.
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholders.
• PMP certification strongly preferred.
• Remote position with occasional travel for client meetings or onsite events.
