Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance to lead internal audit, risk management, and regulatory compliance functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strengthening governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing enterprise risk, overseeing internal audits, and driving a strong culture of accountability and operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with all AML/CFT laws and regulations, acting as the designated Compliance Officer and liaison with the FIU and other regulatory authorities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor AML/CFT policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks, oversee customer due diligence and transaction monitoring, and report key compliance matters to the Board.
• Oversee compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act No. 09 of 2022 and act as the designated Data Protection Officer (DPO).
• Lead and coordinate risk-based internal audits through the external Internal Auditors, assess internal controls and governance processes, and ensure timely resolution of audit findings in compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.
• Develop and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management framework, conduct organisation-wide risk assessments, recommend mitigation strategies, and report key risks to senior management and the Audit Committee.
• Oversee organisation-wide compliance by monitoring regulatory developments, managing risks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing training, and acting as the primary point of contact for regulatory compliance matters.

Requirements

• Member of a recognized Professional Accounting Body, CIMA/ICASL.
• A legal background and exposure to regulatory and statutory compliance will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in managing compliance, audit, and risk.
• Age between 35 – 45.
