Senior Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to support a public sector digital transformation initiative. This role contributes to service innovation and program review projects across a large public sector organization. The Full Stack Developer Senior will work as part of cross-functional product delivery teams led by product owners, participating in field research, backlog refinement, sprint planning and execution. The focus is on developing efficient, effective and affordable digital services that improve public interactions and outcomes.

This position requires someone who can design and develop full stack solutions to support digital service delivery across multiple concurrent projects. The Full Stack Developer Senior will participate in technical discovery, deliver detailed solution designs based on shared understanding from research, complete features for exemplar projects, identify and resolve defects, and enhance code quality and documentation. Responsibilities include collaborating with frontend designers to ensure consistent user experience, advising product owners on technical implementation options, supporting solution deployment and launch, contributing to reusable platform components, and sustaining ongoing development through team onboarding, technical documentation and process improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years - Experience using source control, particularly Git, in collaborative software development
• 3+ years - Experience with automated unit testing and integration testing
• 3+ years - Experience with database technologies, including relational databases and alternatives
• 5+ years - Experience working as a Full Stack Developer on complex software solutions in an agile team environment
• 3+ years - Experience working on production applications using modern application frameworks and frontend JavaScript frameworks
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study, or equivalent qualifications

Nice to Have

• 2+ years - Experience incrementally transforming existing legacy systems into modern digital services across multiple releases
• 1+ years - Experience leveraging generative AI and agentic tooling to produce executive-grade outputs, including drafting, analysis, structured retrieval and workflow automation, with proficiency in prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and critical evaluation of AI outputs
• 2+ years - Experience with at least one or more from the following tech stack: Frontend: Angular, React, Vue.js; Backend: C# .Net Core, Node.js (NestJS, Express), Python (Django)
• 2+ years - Experience with design patterns and their application and software architecture considerations
• 2+ years - Experience with public sector development guidelines and principles
• 2+ years - Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• 2+ years - Experience working with teams that apply UX design, service design, design thinking or human-centered design approaches
