Job Summary

Help Air Methods turn ambitious priorities into coordinated action. As Senior Director, Enterprise Scheduling, you will lead the systems and teams that determine which initiatives move forward, how resources are aligned, and when work is delivered. Your leadership will give executives a clear view of priorities, capacity, costs, risks, and progress across the organization.

You will build a consistent approach to portfolio governance, project delivery, and integrated scheduling while partnering with leaders across functions to solve complex planning challenges. This is an opportunity to shape how Air Methods plans, makes decisions, and executes work in support of its lifesaving mission.

Base salary: Minimum $136,053 | Midpoint $176,820

Responsibilities

Develop and translate functional or divisional strategy into actionable plan
Lead segment of department or smaller function in the planning, development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of related processes
Plan, coordinate and evaluate complex departmental and intradepartmental projects or programs for implementation across large department or function
Responsible for establishing policies appropriate for the function, interprets and recommends modification to company-wide policies and practices
Autonomy to act and make decisions within financially guidelines and / or company policy

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

Lead enterprise portfolio planning, ensuring strategic alignment, prioritization transparency, and annual planning rigor.
Develop and operate a standardized Enterprise Scheduling methodology that ensures high‑quality project execution, predictable delivery, and consistent governance practices.
Build and oversee the enterprise scheduling function, including integrated master schedules, cross‑functional resource planning, forecasting, and scenario‑based planning.
Provide executives with clear, data‑driven insights into portfolio health, operational impacts, financial status, risks, capacity, and performance.
Facilitate enterprise decision‑making by ensuring visibility into project and scheduling dependencies, constraints, and resource alignment challenges.
Lead operational and process improvement initiatives that enhance execution efficiency, schedule predictability, and customer or stakeholder outcomes.
Partner with business leaders to ensure projects and schedules reflect realistic assumptions, operational readiness, and alignment with organizational priorities.
Identify risks early, develop mitigation and contingency plans, and create mechanisms for proactive issue escalation.
Ensure consistent documentation, communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross‑organizational coordination.
Manage departmental finances, budgets, project‑related expenditures, and cost‑to‑value transparency.
Maintain strong executive presence, influence senior stakeholders, and communicate complex information in a concise, business‑focused manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises others in the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers: Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university: and fifteen or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Master’s Degree in Business (MBA) preferred
10+ years in Project management at least 6 years’ experience directly managing Project Managers
Highly experienced in both tactical and strategic business objectives
In-depth understanding of the area of responsibility to contribute to a wider range of business issues
Experience developing Enterprise Scheduling including defining project delivery metrics, implementing processes, and adhering to best practices
Strong experience in leading transformational initiatives, driving cultural change successfully while ensuring customer service is aligned and supported with quality and responsiveness.
Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques
