Senior Director - Business Development

Overview

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Business Development, the Senior Director, Business Development is responsible for generating top-line revenue with commercial and Medicare Advantage regional and national health plans, ACOs, and other risk-bearing entities. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in prospecting, lead generation, and building strategic relationships with key stakeholders and buyers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the customer acquisition process, from cold outreach through pitch presentations, opportunity sizing, pricing, and relationship development for an assigned book of business, target list, or territory.
• Manage the early stages of the sales cycle, including lead generation and pipeline management.
• Engage the market to expand CareCentrix brand awareness, communicate the company’s value proposition, generate leads, build relationships, and monitor industry and competitive trends.
• Lead top-of-funnel activities, including conferences, cold outreach, and targeted campaigns in partnership with marketing and strategic partners.
• Oversee and coordinate internal deliverables related to sales efforts and prospective opportunities, including detailed follow-up on high volumes of information and medical claims data, as needed.
• Partner with Medical Economics to support an efficient, high-quality savings analysis and pricing process, where applicable.
• Maintain disciplined sales operations, including Salesforce CRM usage, strategic prospecting, product portfolio knowledge, and alignment to assigned targets or territory.
• Share customer and prospect feedback with marketing, product, and operations teams to inform companywide strategies and improvements.
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships with sales strategy, medical economics, product, account management, and business development teams to support effective execution.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external customers and stakeholders across all levels, from day-to-day procurement contacts to senior executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working within or in an external-facing healthcare environment, such as a health plan, delegated vendor, health system or provider, healthcare technology company, or healthcare consulting organization.
• Experience executing complex sales in high-pressure environments.
• Proven ability to influence and build relationships in a matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Experience cultivating, developing, and expanding business relationships.
• Strong listening and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
• Strong business and financial judgment.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Executive presence with strong written communication skills.
• Ability to travel as business needs require.

• Pay Range: $180000 – $200000 / year plus corporate bonus incentive. The pay range included in this posting reflects future growth / earning potential.
