ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Client Strategist at 321, you'll serve as the strategic leader for a portfolio of growth-focused clients, helping them achieve measurable business results through modern marketing strategies.

You'll act as a trusted advisor to business owners and leadership teams, connecting business objectives with marketing execution across paid media, CRM, customer journeys, websites, automation, creative, and analytics. Working alongside our Digital Media, Creative, CRM, and Development teams, you'll ensure every initiative supports a unified strategy designed to generate qualified leads, improve conversion rates, and increase revenue.

Success in this role isn't measured by how many campaigns you personally execute—it's measured by your ability to develop strategies, uncover opportunities, solve business challenges, and guide clients toward sustainable growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Client Strategy & Leadership

• Serve as the strategic lead for a portfolio of growth-focused client accounts.
• Build trusted relationships with business owners and key stakeholders.
• Lead quarterly business reviews, planning sessions, and growth strategy meetings.
• Translate business objectives into actionable marketing strategies.
• Develop annual and quarterly marketing roadmaps aligned with client goals.
• Serve as the primary strategic advisor across paid media, CRM, websites, automation, creative, and analytics.
• Identify new growth opportunities and recommend strategies that increase leads, revenue, and long-term customer value.

Growth Strategy

Develop and guide integrated marketing strategies across:

• Paid digital advertising
• Lead generation
• Customer acquisition
• CRM and marketing automation
• Sales funnels
• Landing pages
• Conversion rate optimization
• Email marketing
• SEO and content strategy
• Customer retention
• Reporting and attribution

Understand how every marketing channel contributes to revenue and build strategies that maximize business growth.

Paid Media Strategy

Partner closely with our Digital Media team to:

• Develop paid media strategies across Google Ads, Meta, Local Services Ads, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
• Review campaign performance and optimization opportunities.
• Recommend budget allocations based on business goals and performance.
• Analyze lead quality, conversion rates, ad spend, and return on ad spend.
• Guide creative messaging and offer strategy based on customer insights.
• Ensure paid media efforts align with the overall customer journey.

While our Digital Media team manages campaign execution, you'll provide strategic oversight and direction.

Funnel & Customer Journey Strategy

Design and optimize complete customer acquisition systems by helping clients improve:

• Customer journeys
• Sales funnels
• Landing pages
• Lead capture forms
• Appointment-booking processes
• Lead nurturing
• Follow-up automation
• Sales pipeline performance
• Customer retention and reactivation

Identify bottlenecks throughout the funnel and create strategies that improve conversion at every stage.

CRM & Automation Strategy

Guide clients on CRM and marketing automation best practices using platforms such as:

• GoHighLevel
• HubSpot
• Salesforce
• Similar CRM platforms

Develop recommendations around:

• Email marketing
• SMS automation
• Pipeline automation
• Lead routing
• Customer segmentation
• Review generation
• Referral campaigns
• Customer retention strategies

Performance Analytics & Business Insights

Monitor and interpret performance using key business metrics, including:

• Return on ad spend
• Customer acquisition cost
• Cost per lead
• Cost per qualified lead
• Conversion rate
• Lead-to-customer rate
• Pipeline value
• Customer lifetime value
• Revenue attribution

Present monthly performance reports that clearly communicate results, identify opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations focused on business growth.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Collaborate closely with our:

• Digital Media team
• Creative team
• CRM and Automation team
• Web Development team
• SEO and Content team

Provide strategic direction while ensuring all departments remain aligned around client objectives and business outcomes.

Agency Growth

• Identify opportunities to expand client engagements through strategic recommendations.
• Support new business presentations and strategic planning initiatives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of agency processes, workflows, and strategic offerings.
• Stay current on emerging marketing technologies, AI tools, platform updates, and industry best practices.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate has experience with:

• Direct-response and performance marketing.
• Paid media strategy across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Local Services Ads.
• CRM platforms and integrations, including GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar systems.
• Customer journey mapping, lead nurturing, sales funnels, landing pages, and conversion rate optimization.
• Marketing automation, email marketing, SEO, content strategy, website optimization, analytics, attribution, and reporting.
• Interpreting marketing performance metrics, including ROAS, CAC, CPL, conversion rates, pipeline value, and customer lifetime value.
• Managing multiple client relationships in a fast-paced agency environment.

Preferred Industry Experience

• Home services marketing, including roofing and contractor-based businesses.
• Law firm and legal marketing.
• Other lead generation-focused industries.

WHAT YOU HAVE

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in client strategy, digital marketing, account leadership, growth consulting, or marketing strategy within an agency environment.
• Strong understanding of paid digital advertising and performance marketing.
• Experience developing direct-response growth strategies that connect marketing performance to business objectives.
• Experience working with CRM platforms, integrations, and marketing automation systems.
• Deep understanding of customer acquisition, lead generation, funnel structure, lead nurture, and conversion optimization.
• Strong understanding of ad spend, ROAS, CAC, CPL, lead quality, and revenue attribution.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and communicate actionable insights.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional project management and prioritization abilities.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with creative, digital media, CRM, development, content, SEO, and leadership teams.
• Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and helping clients grow.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

This position reports to the Director of Client Sucess and partners closely with Client Success, Digital Media, Creative, CRM, SEO, Content, and Development teams to deliver integrated marketing strategies that drive client growth.
