Senior Business Analyst

Overview

MSQ DX is searching for a Senior Business Analyst to join our successful and growing team. As a Business Analyst at MSQ DX, you will need to have a strong aptitude for relationship management, requirements gathering, the ability to transform requirements into a consumable format, and be a leader amongst the internal team to help drive the project to completion. You will regularly juggle multiple concurrent client engagements, so strong prioritization and time-management skills are essential. Technical acumen is a must, including the ability to demo completed features and products, and comfort using AI tools to work faster and smarter across the BA lifecycle. Prior experience in a digital agency setting, particularly projects with a MarTech focus, is essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

On customer projects

• Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of project sponsors and stakeholders
• Gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflows, use cases, scenarios, and other methods
• Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team
• Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
• Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team as needed
• Review detailed requirements/user stories with the business stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
• Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted (backlog refinement)
• Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize requirements
• Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine, as necessary
• Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood
• Establish a solid relationship of trust and respect with the client stakeholders and internal team members from all departments.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail on each engagement
• Leverage AI tools throughout the requirements lifecycle — from synthesizing discovery notes and drafting BRDs to generating user stories and acceptance criteria — to accelerate delivery without sacrificing quality

As a member of the Arke BA Team

• Continuously look for ways to further enhance MSQ DX’s methods of requirements-gathering and documentation
  • Assist with developing standard templates to write requirements specifications accurately and concisely
  • Provide guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members
  • Pilot and champion new AI-powered workflows and tools for the BA team, sharing prompts, templates, and lessons learned so the broader team can work more efficiently
  • Maintain a positive and productive working relationship with stakeholders, peers, and leadership

What We’d Love to See

• 5+ years of web project lifecycle — discovery to design to implementation and release — ideally within a MarTech digital agency setting
• 2 – 5 years of previous product management and/or project management experience
• 5+ years of experience with CMSs (experience with any of the following is a plus – Contentstack, Contentful, Optimizely, Sitecore, WordPress Atlas, Uniform)
• Understanding of web page structure (i.e. header, components, footer) and WCAG 2.1/2.2 accessibility requirements
• Experience with Quality Assurance and testing, and the ability to work within an Agile or Waterfall environment
• Ability to write well organized and easily digestible user stories/requirements
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills, with excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with sound independent judgment, a strong customer-service orientation, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage 3 or more concurrent client engagements without sacrificing quality or timeliness
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, with a preferred concentration in Business or Management Information Systems
• Experience using Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with diagramming tools like Visio or Miro
• Experience managing project requirements using Jira or Azure DevOps, with demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to support requirements documentation and analysis

The BA role and expectations tend to vary from company to company. At MSQ DX, BA’s often find themselves in a leadership role on their projects – they own the act of requirements gathering, documentation and the transformation of those requirements into user stories and tasks – thus knowing every aspect of a project in more detail than most other members of the team. Because of this, they must seamlessly be able to work with clients/product owners, solutions architects, developers, designers, and quality assurance personnel. An MSQ DX BA must be highly organized, self-guided and have a sense of pride and ownership in the work they produce. BAs at MSQ DX typically balance multiple client engagements at once, and are expected to embrace AI as part of their everyday workflow — using it to work faster and more thoughtfully, and helping surface new ways the broader team can put it to use.
