About the Role
The Sales Operations Specialist role is multi-functional, designed to act as a critical operational anchor for the DEAT business. Leveraging deep product and market knowledge, our Sales Operations Specialist will keep daily operations running smoothly, maintain excellent retail standards, and partner effectively across teams. This position combines sales coordination, field support and day-to-day operational organisation across Germany and Austria. We are looking for a part-time colleague who is available for 25 hours weekly or more and who is willing to increase their working hours to full-time over the upcoming years.
What you bring to the starting line
Your Playground
Serve as the central point of contact for daily sales activities, order processing, and administrative support across Germany and Austria.
Collaborate closely with our field sales manager to streamline communication with retail accounts, handle trade inquiries, and keep key accounts running smoothly.
Coordinate cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to align on product launches, stock availability, and promotional rollouts, amongst others.
Develop and share strong product knowledge to support both internal teams and external retail partners navigate specs, features, and product availability.
Identify operational bottlenecks and help implement practical solutions to keep the DEAT business running efficiently.
Professional Background
Experience:2+ years of experience in sales operations, retail support, or a similar coordination role, in the sports, outdoor, or consumer electronics industry
Retail & Market Understanding:Familiarity with retail environments, point-of-sale execution, and how retail partners operate.
Operational Acumen:Strong organizational skills, comfortable managing multiple accounts, orders, and logistics processes at once.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:Experience working collaboratively across teams such as marketing, customer service, and operations to support sales initiatives.

Flexibility:Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows, retail visits, or sports events.
Sports Passion:Having a genuine passion for endurance sports such, as running or cycling, and a passion for outdoor adventures is a strong plus.
Location:Based in Germany or Austria
Language:Fluency in Business English and native-level German (written and spoken).
The Setup
Reporting Line:Country Manager DEAT
Working Mode:Flexible, remote- or hybrid working arrangement if being based close to our hub in Linz (AT)
Working Hours:Part-time, from 25-hours a week with the plan to increase to full-time over the next years

Compensation: The base salary range for this position starts at EUR 42.000,- annually (full time basis) with the possibility to earn a performance-based bonus on top. This is the least we can do for you. The final offer depends on your experience, background, and location.
