SAFR is seeking a Sales Engineer to support the growth of the SAFR™ product line across biometric access control, and surveillance solutions.

This is a customer-facing technical role supporting SAFR’s growth across Europe. You will work closely with the European sales team, distributors, and system integrators to demonstrate the value of SAFR solutions, deliver compelling technical presentations, and lead proof-of-concept deployments that help customers validate the technology in their environments. You will also play an active role in supporting partner enablement and accelerating SAFR SCAN’s penetration across key European markets.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid technical foundation and an interest in developing further their Sales Engineering career, who enjoys working directly with customers, presenting technology solutions, and helping drive opportunities from evaluation to successful close. Candidates with relevant experience in physical security, access control, or video surveillance are particularly encouraged to apply.

The role is approximately 80% pre-sales support and 20% post-sales technical engagement, ensuring customers have a smooth experience evaluating and deploying SAFR solutions.

What you’ll do:

• Support the European sales team on the technical side of customer opportunities, from discovery through evaluation and close.
• Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to customers and partners.
• Design solution architectures that integrate SAFR software and SAFR SCAN with customer security systems, including PACS/VMS platforms, IP cameras, networking, REST APIs and edge deployments.
• Lead proof-of-concept deployments and making sure success criteria are met.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during evaluations and early deployments.
• Partner enablement: integrator training, solution positioning and reference deployments with distributors and system integrators.
• Share field feedback with product and engineering.
• Travel of 30–50% across Europe for customer and partner meetings, technical demonstrations, training, and proof-of-concept deployments.

• 4+ years demonstrated experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or related customer-facing technical roles, preferably within physical security, access control, or video surveillance. Relevant hands-on technical expertise and strong customer-facing skills are valued over a specific number of years of experience.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to independently deliver technical demonstrations, lead partner workshops, and clearly explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Full English proficiency.
• Interest or experience in physical security, access control, video surveillance, or AI/computer vision solutions.
• Comfortable supporting technical evaluations and proof-of-concept deployments with customers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn quickly in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams.

• Familiarity with Video Management Systems (VMS) such as Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) such as, Genetec, Avigilon, AMAG, or others including reader/controller integrations, OSDP/Wiegand protocols, and card formats.
• Proficiency in French or German.
