About The Role

We're looking for a part time Sales Development Representative based in China to help us open doors with Chinese merchants that sell cross border and want a better way to accept payments around the world. You will be the first touchpoint between Yuno and prospective clients, generating and qualifying opportunities for our Business Development team in APAC.
This is a flexible, part time position (around 20 hours per week) designed for someone who wants hands-on experience in B2B fintech sales. You will research target accounts, reach out in Mandarin and English across channels such as WeChat, LinkedIn, email and phone, run first conversations to understand each merchant's payment needs, and hand over qualified meetings to our Business Development Managers.

Your contribution will be
Research and build lists of target merchants in China (e commerce, marketplaces, travel, gaming, digital services and other cross border verticals) using LinkedIn, WeChat, industry events, databases and referrals.
Run outbound outreach in Mandarin and English across WeChat, LinkedIn, email and phone, personalizing each message to the prospect's business and payment needs.
Qualify inbound and outbound leads, understand the merchant's current payment setup, markets and pain points, and book meetings for the Business Development team.
Present Yuno's value proposition clearly and handle first questions about our payment orchestration platform.
Keep accurate and up to date records of activities, contacts and pipeline in our CRM and sales tools (Salesforce, Salesloft, Apollo or similar).
Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar) to research accounts, draft and translate outreach, summarize conversations and automate repetitive prospecting tasks.
Share market feedback, trends and competitor activity in China with the APAC team to sharpen our messaging and targeting.
Hit weekly activity and monthly qualified meeting targets agreed with your manager.
Skills You Need
Minimum Qualifications
Native or fully professional Mandarin and fluent English, written and spoken.
Based in mainland China (Shanghai preferred), with availability for around 20 hours per week and some overlap with APAC and Europe business hours.
Some experience (internship or first job, ideally 1+ year) in sales development, business development, customer service or a client facing role, or a strong interest in starting a career in B2B sales.
Comfort doing outbound outreach and starting conversations with people you have never met, by message, phone or video.
Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or similar) for research, writing and translation, and curiosity to keep learning how AI can make prospecting faster and better.
Organized, reliable and results oriented, with attention to detail when logging activities and following up.
Willingness to learn about payments, fintech and cross border commerce in a fast paced scale up environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or interest in payments, fintech, SaaS or cross border e commerce.
Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, Apollo or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Experience prospecting through WeChat and other Chinese business channels.
Bachelor's degree (or final year student) in Business, Marketing, International Trade or a related field.
