Your Responsibilities

Before an independent hotelier sees anything related to RoomPriceGenie, they form a feeling. This role owns that feeling — and builds the systems that make it land consistently everywhere.

The Senior Brand Designer & System Lead is two things at once. First: a true brand designer who lives and breathes visual identity and creating unique identities, executes beautiful work personally, and holds a clear instinctive point of view on what makes RoomPriceGenie visually distinctive. Second: an AI systems architect who transforms how design happens inside the business — building the infrastructure and self-serve frameworks that put on-brand creative capability in the hands of every team member, not just designers.

What great looks like: No design bottlenecks, and the brand has never been more vibrant, distinct and alive.

Core Accountabilities

Visual Identity Ownership — Own and evolve the visual identity and full visual system; hold a proactive point of view on brand direction presentable to CMO, CEO, and exec team.

Hero Creative Direction & Development — Develop/commission and direct the highest-stakes assets — campaign visuals, brand films, event creative, exec presentations — leveraging a trusted freelance network as needed. Set the brief, start the creative process, hold the standard, sign off the output.

Social Visual Direction — Set the visual creative direction for LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube in partnership with Content and Demand. Be part of showing what ‘great’ looks like in asset production.

Design AI System Architecture — Own the transformation of how design happens at RPG. Build and evolve the AI-powered creative infrastructure — brand-trained models, prompt libraries, and self-serve templates — that puts on-brand design capability in the hands of every team member. Own quality, fidelity, and adoption. Measure success by what the business creates on-brand.

Brand QA — Act as standard-keeper for all visual output; run fidelity checks across channels, regions, and partners; update models and templates as needed.

Product Brand Partnership — Partner on visual brand development with Product; find ways to ensure the RPG platform and external marketing brand feel connected and aligned — an active partnership, not an advisory one.

The wider business thinks differently about design because of this role. Teams that previously had no design capability now produce on-brand work independently.
This person has a clear, articulated point of view on where our brand is going, and presents it credibly to the CMO, CEO, and exec team — proactively, not when asked.

Your Profile

3–5 years in brand design, with a portfolio that demonstrates strategic brand thinking and hands-on creative execution at a high level. This is not a production design role or a marketing design role. We are looking for someone who has owned brand identity — built it, evolved it, and made it unmistakably theirs.

Required Skills

Proven track record of working specifically in brand design — not marketing design or design production. Portfolio must show visual identity work: how the brand was shaped, why decisions were made, what changed as a result
Demonstrated experience building an AI-driven design system — prompt libraries, brand-trained generative models, AI-powered template frameworks, or visual toolkits used by teams beyond design
A strong, trained creative instinct — an instinctive eye for what makes a brand visually distinctive. Can articulate why something works, what is off, and exactly what needs to change
Genuinely brand-obsessed — thinks about brand direction constantly, not just when briefed. Has a point of view on where a brand should go before being asked for one
Hands-on creative execution — can concept and create beautiful visual work personally, not only direct others. Portfolio shows both strategic direction and craft
Experience building visual imaging systems — template frameworks, design tokens, channel adaptation rules — that allow a brand to be rolled out consistently, at scale, and at high quality
Genuinely AI-first — uses AI generative tools (CanvaAI, Figma, ElevenLabs, Claude Design etc) as a core part of their creative workflow, not occasionally
Experience commissioning and directing freelance creative talent with a clear brief and uncompromisingly high standards

Advantageous Skills

Motion and video creative direction experience — concepting and directing short-form brand films, social motion, and event content
B2B SaaS, tech, or hospitality-tech brand experience. Strong ICP empathy for hotel owner-operators is a meaningful plus
Experience building self-serve Canva or Figma template systems for non-designer teams, including governance and quality control
Existing knowledge of or curiosity about the independent hotel market
