About this role

Remote Licensed Health Insurance Advisor — No Cold Calling, No Lead Buying

My client is growing their remote advisor team and looking for experienced, licensed Health Insurance Agents to support members through scheduled health plan advisements. They handle 100% of the prospecting and scheduling. You handle the conversation.

Why This Role Stands Out

What You'll Do

You'll conduct scheduled phone or virtual health insurance advisements, reviewing each member's healthcare needs, budget, eligibility, and available plan options. That means explaining coverage, benefits, premiums, and limitations clearly, helping members make informed decisions, and assisting with enrollment when applicable. Each advisement gets documented accurately, with any necessary follow-up completed afterward. You'll show up on time for scheduled appointments, communicate professionally with members and partner teams, and follow all applicable carrier, state, federal, privacy, and compliance requirements, along with required training and product updates.

What You'll Need

This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have an active Health Insurance Producer License, active licenses in a minimum of 5 states, and previous health insurance experience, including consultations with consumers by phone or virtually. You should have a strong grasp of health insurance terminology and enrollment processes, solid communication and client-service skills, and the ability to explain coverage clearly and compliantly. You'll also need to be dependable with scheduled appointments, comfortable working independently and remotely, and set up with a reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet, professional workspace. Candidates must be able to work as a 1099 independent contractor.

Nice to Have

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor role paid per completed advisement. You'll earn $40 for each completed, eligible advisement, with no hourly wage or guaranteed appointment volume; volume varies with member demand, scheduling, licensing, seasonality, and business needs. Eligible agents also receive a $500 bonus at the close of OEP for completing the season in good standing, and an additional $5 per eligible Spanish-language advisement.

Who Thrives Here

Agents who know how to run a consultation start to finish, communicate clearly, and build trust quickly over the phone. People who show up consistently, take documentation and compliance seriously, and explain plan options without high-pressure tactics. If you're organized, dependable, coachable, and want scheduled appointments instead of a day spent prospecting, this is built for you.

To Apply, Please Include

Your current résumé, state of residence, Health Insurance Producer License information, all states where you're currently licensed, a summary of your health insurance experience and the products you've worked with, whether you're fluent in Spanish, and your availability during OEP.

A minimum of 5 active state licenses is required to be considered; candidates with 10-12+ states will be prioritized.

Spend less time chasing prospects and more time doing what licensed health insurance professionals do best. Apply today to join this remote OEP advisor team.
