Role Overview

We're looking for a Recruiting Intern to join our People team and support hiring across Seated. Reporting to the Head of People Operations, you'll primarily focus on the top of the recruiting funnel, helping us identify, engage, and screen candidates for a variety of roles across the company.

This is a hands-on opportunity to build practical recruiting experience at a fast-growing startup. You'll spend most of your time sourcing candidates, reviewing inbound applications, and conducting initial phone screens, while learning how we evaluate talent and manage searches from kickoff through hire.

Responsibilities

• Source prospective candidates through LinkedIn and other recruiting channels
• Build targeted candidate pipelines based on the experience and competencies required for each role
• Review inbound applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates
• Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate experience, interest, and basic qualifications
• Write clear and thorough candidate notes following screens
• Conduct candidate outreach and follow up with prospective candidates
• Keep candidate information and pipeline activity up to date in our applicant tracking system
• Support interview scheduling and candidate coordination as needed
• Partner with the Head of People Operations on active searches and sourcing priorities
• Support additional recruiting projects as needed

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or recently graduated
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with candidates and conducting structured phone conversations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to evaluate resumes and candidate backgrounds against defined criteria
• Resourceful and comfortable researching and identifying prospective candidates
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on tasks
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• High level of discretion when handling candidate and company information
• Interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, People Operations, or a related field

Preferred Experience

• Previous internship, campus, or work experience involving recruiting, research, sales, customer service, or other people-facing work
• Familiarity with LinkedIn or other professional networking platforms
• Interest in startups or fast-growing companies

Compensation

This role pays $20 per hour and is expected to work 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility around class schedules.

This is a temporary internship through December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
