AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY WITH BIG AND CONVENE AI

BIG is excited to be partnering with Convene AI, an AI-focused technology company developing innovative solutions that leverage artificial intelligence to solve real-world business challenges.

As part of this partnership, we are looking for talented professionals to join BIG and work directly on Convene AI projects and initiatives. You will initially be hired as an employee of Bits In Glass, while working closely with the Convene AI team and contributing to the development and growth of their AI solutions.

The role is expected to remain on BIG’s payroll for approximately 12–18 months, with the intention of transitioning to a permanent position directly with Convene AI following this period, subject to business requirements and transition arrangements.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an emerging AI organization at an important stage of its growth, while benefiting from the support, culture, and established consulting expertise of Bits In Glass.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You are the tip of the spear. You own the client relationship, the scope, and the definition of done. You decide what gets built, what does not, and when to tell a client no. This is not an internal product management role and it is not a program management role. You will be embedded with an enterprise client, running discovery, converting messy business problems into AI requirements a pod can build against, and holding a weekly release cadence together while stakeholders change their minds. Because our contracts are fixed-fee and outcome-based, your scope discipline is directly connected to whether the engagement is profitable. That is real commercial responsibility and we will treat you

accordingly.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Run discovery: map the current process, quantify where the pain and the money are, and identify where an agent creates measurable value rather than novelty.
  • Convert business problems into AI requirements with acceptance criteria that can actually be tested, working with the AI Quality Engineer to make them measurable before build starts.
  • Own the outcome definition on outcome-based contracts: what "working"means, how it is measured, who signs off, and what happens if the threshold is missed.
  • Manage the client-provided domain expert: secure their time in writing up front, and escalate immediately when their availability slips. Weak domain SME support is the single most common cause of slipped go-lives in this model, and catching it early is your job.
  • Manage scope ruthlessly. Weekly releases only work if the backlog is disciplined and someone is willing to be unpopular.
  • Run the weekly cadence: demo to the client, capture feedback, re-prioritise, and keep the pod pointed at the highest value work.
• Own stakeholder alignment across business, IT, security, procurement, and legal, and get security and procurement engaged in week one rather than week nine.
  • Partner with the client's change and adoption team so the system gets used, not just delivered.
  • Track and report delivery health: burn, risk register, decision log, and benefits realisation against the agreed outcome.
  • Surface commercial risk early. Scope creep, weak executive sponsorship, and integration surprises are margin erosion, and you are the early warning system.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 3–8 years in product ownership, delivery management, or client-facing consulting, including at least 2 years shipping software rather than only running programmes.
  • A track record delivering under fixed-price or outcome-based commercial terms, where scope discipline had financial consequences.
  • Fluency in agile delivery at a genuine weekly release cadence, not two-week ceremony.
  • Enough technical literacy to challenge an engineer's estimate and to understand why a retrieval pipeline is returning poor answers. You do not need to write code.
  • A working understanding of what LLM-based systems can and cannot reliably do, and the confidence to tell a client when their request is not feasible.
  • Executive presence. You will hold steering committees with client CIOs, COOs, and business unit heads.
  • Experience in at least one of insurance, financial services, healthcare, or a comparably regulated industry.
  • Excellent written communication. Ambiguity that survives your documentation becomes a defect later.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada and willing to travel to client sites.

BONUS POINTS

• Prior experience at a top-tier strategy consultancy, Big Four, or a specialist delivery boutique.
  • A background as a business analyst, engineer, or data professional before moving into product.
  • Familiarity with AI quality concepts: evaluation design, acceptance thresholds, and human-in-the-loop workflow design.
  • Experience running engagements alongside a separate change management partner.

• Bilingual English and French.
