Product engineer - German speaking

This role is designed for engineers who enjoy solving customer problems—not just writing code.

You'll work in a product-driven environment where you'll have the freedom to identify opportunities, build solutions, test ideas with customers, and continuously improve the product. Rather than working from detailed specifications, you'll collaborate closely with Product, AI, and Engineering teams to shape what gets built and how it's delivered.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Own features from discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.
• Build scalable applications using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and NestJS.
• Work directly with customers to understand their challenges and validate solutions.
• Influence product decisions through technical expertise and customer insights.
• Deliver high-quality software with a strong focus on customer value, usability, and performance.
• Contribute to a fast-paced product environment where ideas quickly become production features.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has strong commercial experience building SaaS products with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Enjoys taking ownership and is comfortable making technical and product decisions.
• Thinks beyond implementation and naturally looks for ways to improve the customer experience.
• Has experience building modern, customer-facing web applications.
• Approaches software development pragmatically, balancing quality with speed of execution.
• Is comfortable working independently in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Speaks German at a native level and communicates confidently in English.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with NestJS or similar backend frameworks.
• Experience working on AI-powered or data-driven products.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development practices.
• Experience participating in customer interviews, product discovery, or user testing.
• A genuine curiosity about AI and emerging technologies.

What Our Client Offers

• Competitive annual compensation of €80,000–€120,000.
• 100% remote work, with the flexibility to work from the company's modern office in Vienna, where lunch and dinner are provided.
• A high level of ownership and autonomy from day one, with the freedom to influence both technical and product decisions.
• A culture built around deep work, with minimal meetings and maximum focus time.
• The opportunity to experiment, innovate, and access the resources needed to turn strong ideas into reality.
• A fast-paced environment with frequent releases, rapid feedback loops, and direct customer impact.
• Collaboration with an ambitious international team building one of Europe's fastest-growing AI companies.
• The opportunity to help shape products used daily by thousands of businesses across Europe.

If you are passionate about building products with real business impact, enjoy taking ownership from idea to implementation, and thrive in a fast-moving technology environment, this opportunity could be the right next step for you.

Our client is one of Europe's fastest-growing AI technology companies, developing AI-powered communication solutions that help businesses automate customer interactions. Backed by rapid international growth and exceptional product adoption, the company is scaling its engineering team while continuing to redefine how businesses communicate with their customers.
