Power BI Developer
About this role
The Power BI Developer designs, develops, andmaintainsdashboards, reports, and data visualizations that translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for business and operational decision-making. This role partners with stakeholders and technical teams to define reporting needs, build robust data models,optimizereport performance, and ensure data accuracy and integrity. The developersupports bothongoing sustainment and rapid delivery of new or updated reporting products, including documentation and data storytelling support.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, andmaintainPower BI dashboards and reports, including interactive visualizations that support operational and executive-level decision-making.
Build andoptimizedata models, including relationships, measures, and calculated columns; write andmaintainDAX expressions.
Integrate and blend data from multiple sources to create consistent,accuratereporting datasets.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity through validation checks, reconciliation, and controlledrefreshprocesses.
Optimizereport and dataset performance, including model design, refresh strategy, and incremental refresh whereappropriate.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prototype dashboards, incorporate feedback, andfinalizedeliverables.
Produce andmaintaindocumentation for dashboards, datasets, definitions, measures, and refresh processes;maintaina catalog/inventory of reporting products whenrequired.
Provide recurring and ad hoc analytics support, including data analysis, insights, and presentation-ready outputs.
Support governance practices for reporting, including access controls, workspace management, and standardization of reporting assets.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing enterprise dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
Demonstratedproficiencyin data modeling and DAX; experience designingperformantdatasets and reusable semantic models.
Experience integrating data from multiple sources and working with large datasets to produce reliable visualizations.
Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into clear reporting requirements and deliverables.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, consistency, and documentation quality.
Strong communicationskills, including the ability to present insights and explain dashboards to technical and non-technical audiences.
Years of Experience: 5+ years
Clearance Requirements: Public Trust (Moderate Risk)
Certification Requirements: Preferred only — Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst or equivalent
Any other work-related qualifications needed for the role:
Ability tooperateeffectively in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities with deadlines.
Experience with M365 tools, including Excel and SharePoint, in reporting workflows isstronglypreferred
