About the Client:
The Client is the leading optimization and personalization platform for Shopify brands. With an AI-powered, never-before-seen visual editor, it enables you to customize every page and component on your store, tailor personalized experiences to multiple audiences, and add product recommendations and upsells through continuous and robust A/B testing. About the Position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Platform Implementation & Quality Specialist to ensure the quality and accuracy of merchant-facing experiences within the platform.
This role is primarily responsible for reviewing and validating completed implementations, experience builds, bug fixes, and development work before release, while collaborating with Development, Support, and Customer Success teams to resolve issues. As a secondary responsibility, the specialist will support select experience builds and platform configurations when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Review and validate completed implementations, experience builds, bug fixes, and development tickets to ensure they meet requirements and function as intended
- Perform functional, visual, responsive (desktop/mobile), regression, and relevant edge-case testing
- Identify, document, and communicate defects with clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual behavior, and supporting screenshots or recordings where applicable
- Collaborate with the Development Team to resolve issues and validate completed fixes before release
- Implement select merchant-requested changes and configure platform experiences based on approved requirements
- Make straightforward corrections and updates when appropriate
- Maintain clear documentation and communication across Development, Support, and Customer Success teams
- Ensure all requests are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established quality standards and timelines
Requirements
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to accurately interpret requirements, document findings, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams – MUST
- At least 1 year of experience in quality assurance, web implementation, platform configuration, website content management, or a similar role – MUST
- HTML and CSS proficiency – MUST
- Experience with ticketing systems such as HubSpot, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Jira, or similar – MUST
- Familiarity with JavaScript – ADVANTAGE
- Hands-on Shopify experience – ADVANTAGE
- Experience with e-commerce, CMS, personalization, or similar web-based platforms – ADVANTAGE
- Familiarity with browser Developer Tools (Chrome DevTools or equivalent) and basic web troubleshooting techniques – ADVANTAGE
- Familiarity with A/B testing, experimentation, personalization, or CRO platforms – ADVANTAGE
- Strong QA skills, including functional, visual, responsive, regression, and edge-case testing
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to document defects clearly, including reproduction steps and supporting evidence
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
