As our People Operations Specialist, you will own Buckhill's goals and performance review processes end to end. You will run the infrastructure that makes performance visible and lightweight - Jira-based goals, dashboards, and AI-assisted review cycles - so that managers and employees spend their time on meaningful conversations rather than administration.

From maintaining the company-wide goal hierarchy and dashboards, to pre-populating reviews using AI, coordinating wellbeing check-ins and preparing flagged items for triage, you will be the engine behind how Buckhill sets expectations, tracks progress and supports its people. Responsibilities

Goals

Own and administer the company-wide goals framework in Jira, maintaining the goal hierarchy, due dates, labels and linked work across company, team and individual levels.
Build and maintain Jira dashboards that give teams and Senior Leadership a clear view of goal progress, and support managers in using them for sprint and capacity planning.
Ensure goals data flows correctly between Jira and our HRIS, importing summary data for reviews and eliminating duplication between systems.
Use AI tooling to analyse goal progress, surface risks and trends, and produce reporting for the People & Culture Partner and Senior Leadership.
Train and support managers and employees in the goals process, acting as the first point of contact for questions.

Reviews

Run the performance review cycles end to end, owning timelines, communications and completion tracking across the business.
Use AI tooling and goals dashboards to pre-populate review documentation for managers, removing administrative burden from the business.
Collect one-paragraph self-reflections from employees, in written or voice-note format, coordinating transcription so that no one is disadvantaged by format.
Manage manager, self and peer reviews across the business, administering each in whichever format the process requires as it evolves.
Review all completed reviews, flag items requiring follow-up, and prepare flagged cases for triage with the COO.
Coordinate live review meetings where required, ensuring advance notice, a topic pre-read, choice of channel, and clear agreed next steps recorded against goals in Jira.
Schedule and support wellbeing check-ins as a standing, routine part of every review cycle, and track resulting actions through to completion.
Feed insights from reviews into learning and development planning, working with the L&D Specialist to identify training gaps.

Process improvement and People & Culture support

Continuously improve goals and review processes, leveraging AI and automation to reduce administrative load while protecting the human moments in each process.
Maintain documentation of the goals and review processes, keeping guidance clear, current and accessible.
Provide general administrative support to the People & Culture team from time to time, including document preparation, record keeping and responding to general employee enquiries.
Support ad-hoc People & Culture administrative tasks, such as preparing reports, coordinating meetings and maintaining P&C documentation.
Organise Buckhill social events for office-based and remote employees, shared across the People & Culture team.
Act as a culture ambassador for Buckhill.

Requirements

Graduate in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
At least 2 years of experience in a People Operations, HR operations or similar role, ideally with exposure to performance management processes.
Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence, including dashboards, filters and process administration; experience with Jira automation is an advantage.
Comfortable using HRIS systems, preferably HiBob or similar, including reporting and data imports.
Analytical and data-driven, able to turn goals and review data into clear insights and reporting.
Genuine interest in AI tools and their application to people processes.
High discretion and ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information, including wellbeing matters.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to run company-wide cyclical processes to deadline with limited supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and strong collaboration skills.
A self-starter who is courageous, willing to try something different and speak up with new ideas.
