Megaport is growing fast, and acquisitions are a big part of our journey. We're looking for a switched-on, highly organised and action-oriented People & Culture Project Lead to help bring our businesses, people and teams together as we continue to scale globally.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves turning complex projects into clear plans, bringing order to the chaos and, most importantly, making things happen.
Working closely with our People & Culture leadership and M&A Integration teams, you'll help drive the people side of our acquisitions - from pre-deal planning and Day 1 readiness through to making sure our new colleagues, systems and processes are successfully integrated into Megaport.
You'll work with teams across the globe, connecting the dots between People & Culture, Legal, Finance, IT and the broader business to keep integration activities on track and moving forward.

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the planning and delivery of the people integration activities for Megaport’s acquisitions, working closely with People & Culture leadership to execute on agreed strategies.
- Pre-acquisition planning: Support HR due diligence activities and translate identified people-related risks, obligations and priorities into actionable integration plans.
- Day 1 Readiness: Coordinate people integration readiness ahead of acquisition completion, ensuring critical employee, payroll, systems and operational requirements are addressed.
- Drive the delivery of people integration activities across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring agreed milestones and deliverables are achieved.
- Develop and manage comprehensive integration project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and responsibilities, ensuring clear accountability and timely follow-up.
- Coordinate activities across employee onboarding and transition, employment documentation, employee data, payroll and benefits, HR systems, policies, reporting lines, communications and change management.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external providers to coordinate the collection, validation and migration of employee information.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, working with stakeholders to develop practical solutions and escalating matters where necessary.
- Prepare project updates, progress reports and other materials for People & Culture leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Support post-integration reviews, capturing lessons learned and identifying opportunities to improve integration processes and frameworks.
- Develop and maintain standardised M&A people integration frameworks, templates and checklists to support consistency across future acquisitions.
- Coordinate and execute other strategic People & Culture projects across Megaport’s global operations.
- Support initiatives to improve and standardise People & Culture systems, policies, processes and ways of working.
- Assist with implementation of new systems, tools and operational improvements.
- Develop project documentation, process maps, communications and supporting materials.
- Work collaboratively with People & Culture team members to implement agreed changes and improvements
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions, countries and time zones.
- Proactively monitor progress, manage competing priorities and dependencies, and work with stakeholders to resolve delivery challenges.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and handle sensitive employee information appropriately.
- Take ownership of assigned project outcomes, ensuring deliverables are completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
- Establish clear project governance and ways of working, including working sessions, action tracking, progress reporting and stakeholder communications.
- Provide regular updates to project sponsors on progress, upcoming milestones, risks and dependencies.
- Identify and escalate issues or decisions requiring sponsor input, providing the appropriate context and recommendations to support timely decision-making.

What We Are Looking For
- Approximately 4–7 years’ experience in People & Culture, HR operations, project management, business transformation or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Experience supporting M&A integration, organisational change or HR transformation projects would be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of HR processes and the employee lifecycle, with the ability to translate operational requirements into system workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex projects or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage timelines, actions and deliverables.
- Good understanding of core People & Culture processes, including employee lifecycle management, HR systems, payroll, benefits and policies.
- Experience working in a global or multi-jurisdictional business would be advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, with experience using HR systems.
- Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Project Management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including confidence following up on commitments and escalating risks or delays when required.
- Sound judgement and an understanding of when matters can be progressed independently and when sponsor input or approval is required.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and facilitation skills.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently while maintaining appropriate visibility with project sponsors.
- Exceptional organisation: Manage details, deadlines and competing priorities so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Ownership and accountability: Take responsibility, follow through and deliver without needing to be chased.
- Strong execution: Translate agreed plans into action and coordinate activities through completion.

We're less interested in someone who can talk about project management frameworks and more interested in someone who knows how to make projects happen.
You'll bring a combination of People & Culture know-how, strong project coordination skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across a fast-moving global business.
