About the Engagement
We’re looking for an experienced, strategic, and performance-driven independent contractor who can scale paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and TikTok Ads while confidently supporting client relationships.
This is a part-time, remote contractor engagement for someone who can take ownership of campaign strategy, execution, reporting, and optimization while serving as a trusted advisor to clients. You’ll translate complex performance data into clear insights, identify growth opportunities, and guide clients toward stronger results.
Engagement type: Part-time independent contractor
Location: Canada (Remote)
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week, depending on client needs and agreed scope
Compensation: CAD $25–$45 per hour, depending on experience and expertise
As an independent contractor, you’ll take ownership of your assigned work and deliverables while collaborating with elk’s internal team to support client goals and campaign performance.

What You’ll Do
Develop, manage, and scale campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and TikTok Ads.
Manage Google Ads campaign types, including Search, Shopping, and Performance Max (PMax), as well as Meta campaigns, including dynamic product ads (DPAs) and Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns (ASC+).
Develop and execute TikTok advertising strategies, including audience targeting, creative testing, and campaign optimization.
Build strategic roadmaps aligned with client business goals.
Audit and structure advertising accounts to improve return on ad spend (ROAS), acquisition efficiency, and profitability.
Write and test ad creative, including copy, hooks, headlines, and creative concepts.
Present campaign performance, insights, and recommendations to clients.
Collaborate with SEO, design, CRO, and email teams to align cross-channel strategies.
Manage advertising budgets ranging from $10K to $500K+ per month.
Identify optimization opportunities and proactively recommend strategies to improve campaign performance.
Stay current on emerging paid media platforms, features, and best practices.
What You’ll Bring
5+ years of experience managing paid media campaigns, including hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, and TikTok Ads.
Proven success scaling advertising accounts and independently managing campaign strategy, execution, and optimization across all three required platforms.
Strong understanding of Google Search, Shopping, and Performance Max campaigns.
Experience with Meta campaign structures, dynamic product ads, and Advantage+ campaign types.
Experience developing, launching, and optimizing TikTok Ads campaigns, including creative testing and performance analysis.
Experience managing paid media for eCommerce brands and/or B2B businesses.
Familiarity with shopping feeds and product catalog advertising across Google and Meta.
Understanding of landing page conversion rate optimization (CRO) best practices and collaboration with development and design teams.
Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to explain performance data and strategic recommendations clearly.
Solid understanding of attribution and reporting tools such as GA4, Triple Whale, and Looker Studio.
Experience with Shopify, Asana, Slack, and Google Workspace.
Bonus Skills
Experience with connected TV (CTV), retail media (Walmart, Amazon Ads, and Amazon DSP), Microsoft Ads, or Pinterest Ads.
Expertise in tracking, pixel implementation, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Conversions API (CAPI) setup and configuration.
Experience configuring and designing Looker Studio dashboards.
How Success Will Be Measured
Success in this engagement will be measured by the quality and effectiveness of campaign strategy and execution, proactive identification of growth opportunities, clear performance reporting, strong client communication, and measurable progress toward client business goals.
The contractor will collaborate with elk’s team to establish priorities, deliverables, and timelines based on the agreed scope of work and available hours.
