Right now, a dedicated team of Registered Nurses are working overnight from home, providing clinical assessment, triage and health advice to people across Australia.
It’s a different way to use your nursing experience. You’ll assess and support people across a broad range of health concerns, using your clinical experience to determine what care they need and how urgently they need it. One call might involve reassuring a concerned parent, while the next could require you to identify clinical deterioration, assess risk or determine that urgent medical care is needed.

What You'll Do
As a Digital Health Clinician, you'll use your nursing experience, assessment skills and clinical judgement to:
- Conduct telephone-based clinical assessments and triage
- Provide evidence-based health advice across adult and paediatric presentations
- Assess clinical risk and recognise when escalation is required
- Support acute, sub-acute and mental health presentations
- Recommend appropriate care pathways
- Refer callers to GPs, Urgent Care Clinics, Virtual Emergency Departments and other appropriate health services

Hours & Key Details
- Full-time and part-time opportunities
- Minimum 32 hours per fortnight
- Minimum 6-hour shifts
- Overnight hours are between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am AEST, with a night-shift uplift applying to all hours worked within this window
- Fixed shifts within the 9:00 pm–6:00 am overnight window may be negotiable
- Initial contract through to 30 June 2027
About You
You're an experienced Registered Nurse with strong clinical judgement who is comfortable assessing risk, making clinical decisions and communicating with people who may be anxious, uncertain or unsure what to do next.
You'll bring experience in acute care, emergency nursing, critical care or complex primary healthcare and be ready to apply those skills in a digital environment.
Essential requirements:
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Minimum four years' post-graduate RN experience in the required clinical areas, gained within the last five years
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking and communication skills
- Confidence using digital systems and technology
- Reside and work within Australia
Experience across mental health, adult and paediatric presentations or previous telehealth experience is highly regarded.
Paid Training
As a Digital Health Clinician, you’ll need to be confident working with technology and navigating multiple digital systems as part of your everyday practice.
We'll provide comprehensive paid training before you begin working independently. You'll have the opportunity to become familiar with our systems, clinical pathways and the skills involved in telephone-based assessment and triage.
Please note: Availability to attend two weeks of full-time Monday–Friday training is mandatory.
