About this role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to join a project in the healthcare sector. The focus is on Performance & Tuning, Backup & Recovery, Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard and data migration. You will be responsible for the administration, availability, performance, security and evolution of Oracle Database platforms in mission-critical, high-availability environments.

What you'll do

Administer, maintain and support Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c and above) in on-premises and/or cloud environments
Monitor databases proactively, ensuring high availability, performance and stability
Analyse performance and carry out SQL and PL/SQL tuning (AWR, ASH, ADDM, statistics, execution plans)
Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies (RMAN), including regular restore tests and Disaster Recovery plans
Administer and troubleshoot Oracle RAC environments
Manage ASM (Automatic Storage Management)
Configure and maintain Oracle Data Guard (physical/logical standby, switchover, failover)
Plan and execute data migrations and version upgrades
Support development teams in optimising SQL and PL/SQL code
Apply security best practices, including user, role and privilege management
Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
Support production environments, including handling critical incidents

What we're looking for

5+ years of proven experience as an Oracle DBA
Strong knowledge of:
- Oracle Performance & Tuning
- RMAN (backups and restores)
- Oracle RAC
- ASM
- Oracle Data Guard
- SQL and PL/SQL
- Data Migration
Experience in mission-critical, high-availability environments
Knowledge of Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems
Experience with automation scripting (Shell, SQL*Plus, etc.)
English level B2 or higher
