About this role

CodePath is the largest educator of college computer science students in the country. We've trained over 40,000 students from 1,000+ universities, and our partners include Amazon, Google, and other leading technology companies. We've spent nearly a decade training the next generation of technical talent, and we just launched a $150M initiative with Anthropic, building one of the most ambitious AI workforce programs in the world.

We're now expanding into new markets and scaling our team so we can move at the speed AI is transforming the workforce. People joining CodePath now will have the opportunity to help architect the next frontier of our work.

We believe technical skill is the fastest way to turn raw talent into real opportunity. We train the engineers the AI era runs on, building toward millions of learners, hundreds of millions in revenue, and billions in economic impact. If you want to own something and be part of a 0-to-1 journey at an organization moving at the speed of AI, this is the place to build it.

About the Role

Location: Remote, United States

Role-Type: Full-Time, W2 Employee

Reports To: Senior Manager of AI Practice, Claude Corps

Compensation: $110,000 to $124,500 per year

Start Date: September 21st, ahead of the October 19th cohort launch

Together with Anthropic, CodePath launched Claude Corps in June 2026, a national fellowship program with a $150 million commitment to place 1,000 AI-trained fellows at nonprofits across America.

As a CodePath Mentor, you are the full-time coach and guide for a portfolio of roughly ten pods: about 20 fellows across 8–12 host organizations, from pre-Basecamp through the final day of the program. Your job is to help each fellow succeed not only in building with AI, but in navigating the organization around the work: understanding the problem, identifying the right stakeholders, communicating ideas clearly, building buy-in, and turning an AI-enabled solution into something people will actually use.

The host organization directs the fellow's day-to-day work, the curriculum team owns what they learn, and your Sr. Manager of AI Practice is the manager of record who holds the performance bar. You carry the throughline across the fellow experience: you know your pods end to end, spot patterns and roadblocks early, coach fellows through ambiguity, and bring in deeper technical expertise when needed.

The work combines asynchronous coaching and feedback with regular 1:1s, office hours, milestone reviews, roadmap and project feedback, and synchronous coaching when a fellow needs more than text. Fellows may be building technical integrations, designing AI-enabled workflows, educating an organization on AI, or helping a nonprofit adopt an entirely new way of working.

You do not need to be the deepest software engineer in the room. You do need enough technical fluency to understand what fellows are building, learn unfamiliar technologies quickly, and help them reason through AI-enabled solutions. Just as importantly, you need the judgment and coaching ability to help an early-career fellow navigate the people, communication, and organizational challenges that determine whether their work succeeds.

This role is built for someone who gets energy from helping other people succeed. You may come from engineering, consulting, implementation, technical program management, AI enablement, education, or another client-facing technical environment. What matters most is that you have personally navigated ambiguity, helped people or organizations adopt technology, and can coach fellows through doing the same.
