Medical Billing Manager

We’re seeking an experienced Billing Manager (Contractor) to lead billing operations and revenue cycle management across multiple clients. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can motivate a team of independent contractors, and values accuracy, compliance, and client success. Behavioral Health Billing - multi-state billing a plus! This is a remote, work-from home position.
What You’ll Do
Oversee and streamline billing and collections processes for assigned clients.
Close monthly billing cycles and prepare timely AR, payment, and adjustment reports.
Lead and mentor remote billing contractors, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Serve as the main client contact (billing staff, CFOs, CEOs), building strong professional relationships.
Design, update, and implement billing procedures and train staff accordingly.
Interview, onboard, and support contractor development.
Collaborate with leadership on client needs, performance, and resource planning.
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years’ experience in revenue cycle management, billing operations, or related leadership role.
Proven ability to improve processes and resolve claims issues effectively.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote teams.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities.
