Marketing & Paid Media Strategist, ShopHQ (Temp to Perm)

ShopHQ is seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and execution-focused Marketing & Paid Media Strategist to scale our digital customer acquisition and oversee our omnichannel marketing efforts. This role sits at the intersection of performance marketing and lifecycle strategy. You will own the day-to-day execution, bidding, and optimization of paid media campaigns across Meta, Google, Criteo, and other performance channels, driving scalable growth while maintaining ROAS and CAC targets.

Beyond paid media, you will provide high-level strategic oversight of ShopHQ’s broader marketing mix, including organic social media, email, SMS, and affiliate networks. A key aspect of this role involves close collaboration with our Buying team to develop dynamic, creative promotions and targeted audience activation moments that fuel a robust promotional calendar. You will act as the commercial connector, ensuring that our paid traffic maps to high-converting retention flows, and that winning creator and affiliate assets are leveraged to fuel paid ad performance.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to transition into a regular full-time position based on business needs and performance.

Paradium.AI’s expected annualized base salary range for this position is currently $110,000 - $120,000. Actual salaries will vary based on multiple factors including location, education, experience and other factors permitted by law. The listed salary range is but one component of The Arena Group’s total compensation and benefits available to its employees. Responsibilities

Paid Media Execution & Optimization

• Campaign Deployment: Direct the end-to-end planning, build, QA, and deployment of paid media campaigns across Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Criteo, TikTok, and other paid channels.
• Budget & Spend Management: Actively manage daily ad spend, bidding strategies, and budget allocation to ensure aggressive scalable growth while balancing bottom-line profitability.
• Continuous A/B Testing: Conduct rigorous A/B tests on ad copy, creative formats, audience segmentation, and landing pages to systematically improve conversion rates and lower CAC.

Creative Promotions & Buying Alignment

• Promotional Calendar Strategy: Partner directly with the Senior Buyer and merchandising team to conceptualize and execute a creative, highly engaging promotional calendar that aligns with seasonal trends and inventory priorities.
• Audience Activations: Develop unique activations (e.g., flash sales, exclusive product drops, VIP-only access) designed to engage audiences and create urgency across both paid and owned channels.
• Asset Pipeline Coordination: Brief the creative and social teams on required assets, ensuring the continuous delivery of high-converting visual media for quick-turn promotions.
• Creative Direction: Provide strategic direction for creative and review final assets to ensure brand consistency, high-quality execution, and strong revenue-driving potential.

Customer Acquisition & Loyalty

• Customer Loyalty Program: Develop, implement, and manage the customer loyalty program, optimizing member acquisition, engagement, retention, and lifetime value through compelling rewards, personalized offers, and ongoing performance analysis.
• Acquisition Strategy: Develop full-funnel prospecting and remarketing strategies that grow the new-customer base while controlling audience overlap, frequency, saturation, and reliance on existing customers.

Team Leadership & Omnichannel Oversight

• Cross-Channel Strategy: Develop the overarching strategy for ShopHQ’s organic and retention channels (Social, Email, SMS, and Affiliates), ensuring total alignment between paid acquisition efforts and owned media campaigns.
• Email & SMS Strategy: Work with the Email & SMS Marketing Specialist to ensure paid traffic maps seamlessly into cohesive customer journeys, optimizing automated retention flows (e.g., Welcome Series, Abandoned Cart) to maximize the lifetime value of newly acquired users.
• Social & Creator Synergy: Work with the Social Media Manager in identifying high-performing organic and creator assets, directing the transition of these assets into high-yielding paid media creatives to fuel the performance marketing engine.

Analytics & Reporting

• Granular KPI Tracking: Rigorously track and optimize core quantitative channel metrics, including ROAS, CAC, CTR, Conversion Rates, and Total Channel Revenue.
• Internal Reporting & Shareouts: Establish clear, recurring internal reporting routines (weekly performance dashboards and monthly deep-dives) to share actionable paid media insights across the executive, marketing, and merchandising teams.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience managing and scaling paid media campaigns directly in-platform (Meta, Google Ads, Criteo), preferably within a high-volume e-commerce environment.
• Deep understanding of retention marketing principles, specifically email and SMS lifecycle automation, as well as organic social and affiliate ecosystems.
• Proven track record of owning ad budgets, pacing spend, and delivering against strict ROAS and CAC targets.
• Demonstrated ability to build creative promotional strategies in partnership with merchandising or buying teams.
• Highly analytical with strong proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4), Shopify analytics, and ad platform reporting.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience with managing team of direct reports
• Entrepreneurial, agile mindset with the ability to operate cross-functionally across matrixed Commerce, Buying, and Creative teams.
• High-level Creative/Design oversight experience
