Marketing Account Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Marketing Account Manager to own and grow client relationships while ensuring the successful delivery of integrated digital marketing programs. The Account Manager will serve as the primary bridge between our clients and internal marketing teams, bringing together strategy, execution, project management, and account growth. Depending on the account, you may independently lead the client relationship or partner with senior Client Services leadership on larger or more complex engagements. Success in this role means building trusted client relationships, keeping marketing programs moving forward, identifying opportunities to expand and strengthen accounts, and ensuring clients see clear value from our work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Relationship & Account Leadership

• Serve as the day-to-day relationship owner for assigned clients and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
• Lead client meetings, presentations, status updates, and ongoing communications.
• Develop a strong understanding of each client's business, customers, industry, and marketing objectives.
• Proactively communicate progress, challenges, recommendations, and next steps.
• Identify potential client concerns or relationship risks early and work with senior Client Services leadership to address them.
• Balance client needs with agency resources, scope, timelines, and business objectives.

Account Growth & Retention

• Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand client relationships based on evolving business and marketing needs.
• Develop a strong understanding of TribalVision's digital marketing capabilities and connect clients with relevant agency expertise.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities and partner with senior leadership on recommendations, proposals, and expanded scopes of work.
• Support client renewals and ongoing account planning.
• Help drive retention by consistently demonstrating value and anticipating client needs.

Project & Team Management

• Serve as the primary internal owner for assigned accounts, ensuring teams understand client objectives, priorities, expectations, and deadlines.
• Coordinate with strategy, creative, content, paid media, SEO, social, marketing technology, and other internal specialists.
• Establish clear priorities, action items, owners, and deadlines following client and internal meetings.
• Keep marketing programs and deliverables moving according to agreed-upon timelines and proactively address roadblocks.
• Review client-facing deliverables for quality, strategic alignment, and readiness before delivery.
• Manage multiple accounts, projects, deadlines, and internal workstreams simultaneously.
• Maintain accurate project and task information within Asana and other agency systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of Account Management experience, ideally within a digital marketing or advertising agency.
• Experience managing client relationships across multiple marketing programs or workstreams.
• Experience with account growth, upselling, cross-selling, renewals, or other commercial account responsibilities is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent experience.

LOCATION

This is a remote role, with candidates required to be located in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or Connecticut. Client Services team members may occasionally need to come into the office or attend client meetings, so we are looking for someone who is local enough to participate in occasional face-to-face meetings when needed. Travel is expected to be limited.

GROWTH

This role also offers a growth path within Client Services, with opportunities to progress into more senior-level roles as you take on larger and more complex client relationships and continue to develop your strategic and commercial responsibilities.
