About the Client: Our client is a US-based supply chain and logistics company offering sea freight, air freight, and land transportation services. They handle a wide range of cargo, including refrigerated shipments, bulk liquids and dry goods, and specialized freight requiring open-top containers, flat racks, and garment-on-hanger containers.
Overview: The Logistics Operations Clerk will provide remote administrative support to the client's operations team. The role focuses on tracking shipments, managing shipping documentation, updating records in Magaya, and coordinating with trucking providers to obtain proof of delivery (POD) documents. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, computer-savvy, and proficient in English, with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Track shipments and update information in the Magaya logistics management system in real time.
Upload, attach, organize, and maintain shipping documents and records.
Follow up with truckers and transportation providers to obtain proof of delivery (POD) information and copies of delivery documents.
Perform data entry, web searches, document processing, and other general clerical tasks.
Collect, organize, record, and file operational information accurately.
Assist operations specialists with daily administrative tasks and follow established procedures.
Communicate professionally with internal teams and external contacts to ensure timely updates and document collection.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of clerical, administrative, or data entry experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based applications.
Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable making phone calls and following up with external contacts.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
High school diploma or associate degree.
Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations is an advantage.
Experience using Magaya or similar logistics management software is a plus.
