Integration Developer

We are seeking an Integration Developer to support a public sector health system's modernization initiative. This role focuses on designing, developing, documenting, and implementing integration solutions that connect clinical information systems with ancillary platforms across a large healthcare network. The successful professional will work with the Systems Integration Services team to build and maintain custom integrations on a cloud-based integration platform, ensuring seamless data exchange while maintaining information integrity and adhering to industry standards and best practices.

This position requires someone who can design and develop scalable, secure, and performant integration solutions to support both a major clinical system transformation and ongoing integration initiatives. The role encompasses developing solutions using cloud-native integration services, implementing CI/CD pipelines and deployment frameworks, creating comprehensive technical design documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders across business and technology teams. Responsibilities include monitoring and performance-tuning deployed solutions, troubleshooting issues, managing high-volume message processing, integrating hybrid on-premises and cloud environments, and transferring knowledge to internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years - information technology or IT experience
• 3+ years - developing integration solutions with Azure Integration Services including Logic Apps, Functions, App Services, Service Bus, Containers, API Management, Azure Kubernetes Service, and On-premise data gateway
• 5+ years - developing solutions in C# and .NET
• University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Nice to Have

• 3+ years - demonstrated integration solutions development experience with Microsoft Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, App Services, Azure Functions, Event Grid)
• 2 project references - hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps for CI/CD and Azure Deployment frameworks (ARM, Bicep)
• 1 project reference - designing and developing scalable and fault tolerant Azure Integration solutions with elastic scale and fault tolerance capabilities
• 1 project reference - developing performant solutions that process high message volumes and large message sizes using Microsoft Azure Integration Services
• 1 project reference - developing hybrid solutions that integrate with on-premises databases and network shares using Azure Integration Services and Azure Hybrid connectivity services
• 1 project reference - designing and developing secure Azure integration solutions with secure communication, secrets management, and compliance considerations
• 1 project reference - designing and developing monitoring frameworks for interfaces built on Azure Integration Services
• 2 project references - development experience with HL7 v2x and/or FHIR, building HL7 v2/FHIR solutions on Azure Integration Services or other platforms
• 1 project reference - creating Azure technical design documents describing solution components, communication between services, security protocols, and database architecture

• Experience with healthcare integration platforms and clinical data standards
• Familiarity with data validation technologies such as XSD or custom code
• Experience with data transformation technologies including XSLT, Logic Apps Data Mapper, or Liquid templates
• Knowledge of integration patterns such as Pub/Sub, Request/Response, and ordered delivery
• Experience with multi-cloud connectivity across AWS, GCP, or OCI
• Exposure to compliance frameworks such as HIPAA or GDPR in integration design
