Functional overview

The Business Development Executive serves as the front of the Company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth and forging strong relationships with clients. This includes increasing revenues, growth in terms of business expansion, increasing profitability by building strategic partnerships and making strategic business decisions.

Duties and responsibilities

• Familiarizing oneself with all products and services offered by the Company.
• Building business relationships with prospective clients through direct contact, referrals, generated leads, and in collaboration with the marketing department.
• Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions; responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs).
• Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans.
• Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies.
• Attending networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients.
• Suggesting upgrades or added products and services that may be of interest to clients.
• Collaborating with sales and leadership teams to secure, retain, and grow clients/accounts.
• Creating informative presentations; presenting and delivering information to potential clients at client meetings.
• Negotiating with clients to secure the most attractive prices.
• Reviewing clients' feedback and implementing necessary changes.
• Remaining in tune with trends to ensure that our offerings remain relevant.

Obligations:

• Consultant shall execute and perform all services contracted under this Consultancy Services Agreement in a professional and efficient manner commensurate with existing KMC operational methodology guidelines as amended from time to time.
• Consultant shall devote its time and make best efforts to perform the services as agreed upon by the parties. Consultant shall devote at least forty (40) hours per week from Monday to Friday to carrying out the services or such other times as required or requested by the Company.

Scope of Consultancy Services:

• Consultant is hereby contracted as a freelance consultant to assist the Company in the sale of its products. In the course of the performance of the contracted work, Consultant shall advise the Company of any recommended action as may be necessary for the completion of the contracted work. Consultant shall also perform other services related to or associated with or reasonably required by the demands of the contracted work.
• Consultant shall coordinate with Mr. Michael McCullough who is the duly authorized representative of the Company, and Mr. Thomas Cragg with regard to the assignment and results of the contracted work/s. As part of the Company’s weekly management committee (MANCOM) meetings, Consultant will also be required to share latest updates on a weekly basis, as per the practice for the other members of the Company’s sales team.
• The Company shall assign contracted work, opportunities and clients to the Consultant in accordance with the work order, assignment, verbal or written order which will be issued by an authorized representative of the Company.

• Relevant commercial awareness

Minimum qualifications

• Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• 10 years in client relationship management, professional services, business development and B2B sales
• Has a strong track record of success within sales
• Financial acumen, and ability to understand complex financial models
• Ability to travel domestic and international
• Ability to work with recent technological applications and CRM systems relating to daily tasks
