Position Overview

The Inside Sales Representative Manager is responsible for driving new insurance sales by partnering with our Core independent agents across multiple states. This role focuses on increasing production in Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, and Life Insurance through proactive sales coaching, virtual training, one-on-one consultation, and relationship management. The Inside Sales Representative Manager serves as a trusted sales partner, helping agents identify opportunities, develop sales strategies, and grow their books of business. Success in this position requires strong consultative selling skills, the ability to motivate and influence agents remotely, and a deep understanding of insurance products and sales processes.

Essential Job Functions

• Drives new business growth in Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, and Life Insurance through strategic partnerships with assigned agents
• Builds productive relationships with our Core agents and develop customized action plans to improve sales performance
• Conducts virtual one-on-one coaching sessions to identify sales opportunities, overcome obstacles, and improve closing ratios
• Plans and facilitates engaging virtual group training sessions focused on sales techniques, product knowledge, prospecting, cross-selling, and business development
• Analyzes production reports and sales metrics to identify growth opportunities and prioritize outreach
• Promotes cross-selling strategies that increase client retention and overall policy growth
• Collaborates with underwriting, marketing, and internal sales teams to support agency success
• Maintains regular communication with assigned agencies through phone calls, video meetings, and email outreach
• Assists agents with sales planning, pipeline development, prospecting strategies, and account rounding opportunities
• Stays current on insurance products, market trends, carrier programs, and state-specific regulations across assigned territories
• Documents activities, sales opportunities, and follow-up actions within Salesforce
• Meets or exceeds established sales growth, activity, and production goals
• Supports agents located across multiple states
• Limited travel may be required for agency visits, conferences, or sales meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Required

• Associate's degree in business, marketing, insurance or related field, or equivalent experience
• Typically requires 7+ years of experience in sales, agency development, business development or underwriting experience

Preferred or Specialized

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience working with independent insurance agencies
• Multi-state insurance experience
• Agency management or sales coaching experience

Certifications & Licenses

• Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) or Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated skill in:

• verbal, written and presentation communication
• Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, and/or Life Insurance sales and/or underwriting
• consultative selling and relationship-building skills
• organizational and time management with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Demonstrated ability to:

• use video conferencing platforms to conduct virtual presentations, webinars, online training or coaching
• analyze production data and translate insights into actionable sales strategies

Demonstrated knowledge of:

• Microsoft Office software
• CRM platforms

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay Range:

$73,000 - $98,000 annually

• This range is based on the expected level of experience and skills for this position. Final compensation will depend on individual.
