Inside Sales & Appointment Setter

VirtueStaff is seeking a motivated and persuasive Solar SDR & Appointment Setter on behalf of our client, a residential solar provider. In this high-volume outreach position, your primary focus will be connecting with prospective homeowners, qualifying their interest in solar energy solutions, and booking qualified consults for the solar sales team. Working across specialized CRMs like Tape and Oracle NetSuite, you will manage rapid lead response, make outbound sales calls, handle customer objections, and maintain structured follow-up cadences to maximize appointment show rates.

Responsibilities

• Contact prospective homeowners promptly via phone, text message, email, and CRM outreach tools
• Respond immediately to new inbound leads generated from online marketing campaigns, web forms, and referral channels
• Conduct high-volume outbound calling campaigns to existing prospect databases and targeted homeowner lead lists
• Qualify homeowners based on roof viability, energy usage, property ownership, and current electric costs
• Schedule qualified presentation appointments for Solar Consultants and field sales representatives
• Execute pre-appointment confirmation calls and text reminders to minimize cancellations and no-shows
• Re-engage missed or canceled appointments to reschedule meetings for the field sales team
• Overcome common homeowner hesitations and objections using professional, persuasive sales techniques
• Log all call activities, notes, appointment updates, and pipeline stages accurately in Tape, Oracle NetSuite, and company CRMs

Requirements

• Proven track record in outbound calling, phone-based appointment setting, or inside sales lead generation
• Prior experience in residential solar, roofing, HVAC, pest control, windows, or similar home services sales is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to handle objections, build immediate trust over the phone, and qualify leads efficiently
• Experience using solar or home service CRMs such as Tape, Oracle NetSuite, or parallel sales platforms
• Strong skills in calendar coordination, appointment confirmation, and pipeline follow-up management
• Excellent verbal communication skills in English with an energetic, professional, and convincing phone demeanor
