We are looking for a Home-Based Bookkeeper to join a growing U.S.-based consulting company in the industrialized construction industry. In this role, you will manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a project-based services business using QuickBooks Online on an accrual basis. You will approve and assign expenses to projects, create and send client invoices, follow up on past-due accounts, keep time and expense entries accurate and up to date, and run financial reports that help leadership understand the health of the business.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Reviewing and approving submitted expenses in QuickBooks Online
• Assigning expenses to the correct projects and clients for accurate job costing
• Flagging missing receipts, duplicate entries, or questionable charges
• Creating accurate client invoices based on project work, time, and billable expenses
• Submitting invoices to clients on schedule and in line with project terms
• Maintaining organized records of all invoices issued
• Monitoring the A/R aging report and identifying past-due invoices
• Following up with clients professionally on outstanding balances
• Recording payments received and updating invoice status
• Maintaining and reviewing time and expense entries to ensure they are complete, current, and accurate
• Reminding team members of missing or late entries
• Reconciling entries against projects to support accurate billing
• Running financial reports such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, A/R Aging, and Project Profitability
• Ensuring transactions follow accrual accounting rules throughout the year
• Supporting month-end close and providing clean, reliable data to leadership

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 2–4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably supporting U.S.-based clients and project-based or professional services businesses.
• Language Proficiency: Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Working schedule: Ability to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or within US operating hours.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required).
  • Solid understanding of accrual-basis accounting.
  • Experience with invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, and job/project costing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations).
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Gmail, Docs).
  • QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification is an advantage.
  • Experience with time-tracking tools integrated with QuickBooks (e.g., QuickBooks Time) is an advantage.

• Salary Range: PHP 47,000 - 51,000

• Work Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST (USA)
• Workdays: Monday through Friday (USA)
