About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on, player-coach Head of Sales to lead, build, and optimize the company's inside sales, outbound sales, and revenue operations. This is not a traditional executive role—you'll work directly with executive leadership, analyze data, build sales playbooks, coach the team, jump into sales calls, and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day revenue operations, sales forecasting, territory optimization, and pipeline performance.
Lead and coach a lean sales organization while maintaining strong accountability and execution.
Design, test, and optimize outbound sequences, cold calling/email scripts, and inbound sales playbooks.
Partner with Marketing to develop targeted sales campaigns and channel strategies.
Monitor key sales velocity metrics, including speed-to-lead, mockup delivery, and quote conversion.
Analyze sales data to identify bottlenecks, opportunities, and operational improvements.
Step into complex sales conversations, handle objections, manage high-value accounts, and support deal closing.
Develop sales incentives, processes, and high-velocity go-to-market strategies.
Identify talent gaps and develop individual growth plans for sales team members.
Work closely with the CEO to translate strategic goals into measurable sales performance.

Requirements

7+ years of Sales and Business Development experience.
4+ years managing closing or outbound sales teams in a startup, SMB, e-commerce, or high-growth environment.
Proven experience working directly with CEOs or executive leadership to scale sales operations.
Strong understanding of sales operations, forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue metrics.
Deep experience with CRM and sales technology such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive.
Strong experience with sales automation, sequencing, analytics, and CRM workflows.
Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Strong cold calling, objection handling, value-based selling, and closing abilities.
Experience managing distributed/remote sales teams.
Highly entrepreneurial, customer-centric, data-driven, and execution-focused mindset.
Availability to work during US Eastern and Pacific Time Zone hours.
