We’re looking for a Growth Product Manager

Own the systems that decide which German businesses iwoca reaches, and the journey they take from first click to submitted loan application. You’ll join a team that is still being built, with a data scientist in place and engineers being hired in parallel. A good fit if you like working from first principles, and would rather run an experiment than win an argument.

The team

The DE Acquisition Tech team builds the systems behind how German businesses discover iwoca and apply for funding: the models that decide which businesses to approach, the eligibility checks that tell a business early whether iwoca can help, and the signup flow itself. Product, analytics, data science and engineering sit in the same squad by design, so the team can go from hypothesis to shipped change without waiting on anyone else. The German marketing and sales teams depend on this work: the team’s models decide who they contact, and its journeys decide how many of those businesses convert.

The team is being built right now. It currently includes a data scientist, and we’re hiring engineers in parallel – so you would join early enough to shape how the team operates.

The role

This role sits between iwoca’s German commercial teams – marketing, sales and commercial strategy – and the technical squad that builds for them. Reporting into the Head of Direct Acquisition, you will own acquisition and activation outcomes for the German market: finding the opportunities, defining the hypotheses, and working with engineering, data, marketing and sales to build, test and iterate.

The scope is broad. We’re not looking for someone with deep expertise in every domain the team covers – spanning product development, analytics, UX and data science – but rather someone intellectually curious, and skilled at asking the right questions.

Own the funnel from first visit to application

Own every step of that journey, including the signup flow itself and the eligibility checks inside it.
Set the roadmap for acquisition and the signup journey, and decide what the squad builds next.
Own the scoring and segmentation that decides where marketing spends and who sales calls first.

Build with your technical squad

Ship lead scoring systems, eligibility checkers and signup flows with the team’s data scientist and the engineers we’re hiring.
Rework website content, signup flows and decisioning logic with marketing and sales, to convert more of the businesses that already reach iwoca.
Strip friction out of the signup journey, so that applying for funding takes minutes rather than an afternoon.

Be the first call when the numbers look wrong

Act as the technical partner for German marketing, sales and channel management on attribution, tracking and data pipeline problems.
Investigate and resolve data quality issues – broken dashboards, misattributed traffic, unexplained volume changes – often at short notice.
Give channel managers access to, and guidance on, the attribution logic behind their numbers.
Keep the tracking and attribution systems trustworthy, so every decision downstream rests on numbers the team believes.

Run the experiments that decide what ships

Design, run and interpret A/B tests across messaging, targeting, eligibility checks and signup flows.
Find opportunities from first principles, backed by data, customer research and funnel analysis.

Shape how a new team works

Direct the squad’s work day to day: brief the data scientist and engineers, set priorities, and turn their models into shipped products.
Define the priorities, roles and rituals of a team that is still being built.
Lead cross-functional initiatives with marketing and sales, aligning them with engineering and data on shared goals, hypotheses and success metrics.
Turn the commercial strategy team’s goals into testable hypotheses and briefs the squad can act on.

The requirements

Essential:

Experience as a product manager, growth product manager, or in a role with clear ownership of product-led growth outcomes.
Strong analytical capability and experience with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing tools.
Hands-on experience with tracking and attribution setups, such as Amplitude, GA4, GTM, server-side tagging or conversion feedback into ad platforms.
Able to act as the product voice on modelling work – challenging assumptions and turning model output into decisions, without building the models yourself.
Strong capability using AI tools, including structured prompting and iterative AI interaction to problem solve and increase productivity.

Bonus:

Experience in fintech, lending, B2B SaaS, or regulated products.
Experience working with data science teams or involvement in modelling projects.
Fluency in German and strong written communication skills tailored to customer-facing environments.
Knowledge of the German SME ecosystem or B2B financial products.
Experience working in or helping build newly formed teams.

The salary

We expect to pay from £60,000 - £80,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.
