Foundation helps B2B tech and SaaS brands get found, cited and recommended when their buyers ask AI for solutions. We do it through Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): the research, content, distribution and optimization that build a brand's presence across LLMs, search, Reddit, YouTube and the sources they draw on.

The role

You lead a $3–4M portfolio of enterprise B2B tech and SaaS clients and the team that serves them. You run the portfolio like a business. You set its strategy, own its key client relationships, and are accountable for its growth and its margin. You personally lead one or two anchor clients and manage the AEO Marketing Directors and the AEO Program Director who run the rest.
On our enterprise accounts, AEO Marketing Directors own the client relationship, the strategic roadmap and the account's growth. AEO Program Directors lead the dedicated team that delivers the work, and work with the client every week alongside you.

Reports to: Client Services leadership. Direct reports: 3–6 (AEO Marketing Directors and the portfolio's AEO Program Director), within a team of 8–15 people.

What you'll own

The portfolio's P&L. Revenue, book growth and margin across every client in the portfolio. You set each book's targets and act when they drift.
Strategic direction. The strategic roadmap for every client in the portfolio, and a point of view on your industry that clients and prospects want to hear.
Anchor relationships. One or two clients worth $1M+ a year, at VP and C-level.
Your team. Hiring, developing and, when needed, exiting the people on your team. You grow the next AEO Marketing Directors and AEO Program Directors.
Growth. Expansion into new channels and business units, conversion of strategy engagements into retainers, and new-business pursuits in your industry.
Client health. You know every at-risk account in the portfolio and the plan to recover it.

What you bring

12+ years in agency client services, account leadership or marketing strategy, including 3+ years leading managers or a P&L.
A track record of owning a $3M+ book and growing it through retention and expansion.
Credibility with CMOs and VPs of marketing at B2B tech or SaaS companies, and enough depth across SEO, content, paid, social and communities to lead the strategy conversation.
A clear point of view on how AI search is changing the way B2B buyers find and choose vendors.
Experience hiring and building client teams.

Compensation

Base salary $135k–160k depending on experience and location
Variable compensation: Target 20% of base, paid quarterly on your portfolio's book growth, margin and retention.
Where you land in the range depends on experience. US ranges may be adjusted for cost of labor in your state. Benefits are on top of base.
